Brent's cousins are coming for a day visit tomorrow. They are super fun so I'm excited to see them! Then we are having our friends and their kids for lunch on Sunday! I'm excited to do something social lol!
Nothing exciting here. Tomorrow Kayleigh starts a new session of swimming lessons which will be a huge struggle I'm sure. I have to call my cousin because we had talked about going to possibly buy sewing machines tomorrow as well. Other than that, packing up Christmas decorations and cleaning the house.
Henry has a birthday party tomorrow which will be super fun, being totally sarcastic here...and then my friend from MA said she was going to be in my area in the afternoon so she wanted to stop by. It will be really great to see her and her son because it has been way too long. My H was invited out for drinks on Saturday and since I can't find a sitter he will go on his own. I'm kind of looking forward to it because if all goes well and I can get the kids down by 10pm I can drink some wine and watch whatever I want on TV without being bothered.

Besides trying to stay warm? We're getting all of our errands done tomorrow so we can stay inside on Sunday. I hate going out, especially with Riley, in the bitter cold. Besides Riley's haircut tomorrow (only her second!), we need to run errands and put together my H's desk. Then we'll probably just hang out and watch football.

Mmmmm jambalaya!
Nothing big here. We might take the kids down to visit h's BFF. His daughter is going back to college on Sunday and really wants to see the kids before she goes back to school. After that I am supposed to go to my work Christmas dinner which should be interesting lol. At least everyone is tolerable outside of work.

If laundry and cleaning are exciting then I've got an awesome weekend planned - lol. I may even get wild and crazy enough to finally take down my Christmas decor.
I actually have plans! I feel like it's been forever since anything happened on a weekend (outside of holidays). Hunting season means my life on the weekends is boring while DH hunts.
Tonight I am going over to my friend's house for GNO with a group of friends I have had since I was a toddler! We try to get together every few months. It's awesome. We just ordering pizza and they will have beverages and we just hang out. There is seriously nothing like the easiness of friendship with people who don't remember life without you. You can be honest about the good, bad and the ugly with only support. There are always a lot of laughs and some tears. It's free therapy for us.
Tomorrow I have another of my BFFs coming to go to lunch and get pedis. Then a kid free dinner with DH.
Tomorrow is Jack's birthday! My "baby" will be 2. We are going to a kids museum in the morning and I plan to put together the most epic train track in the afternoon - kid is obsessed with trains! We have lots of tracks so it should be fun. We got him a basketball hoop so we will probably play with that too.
starfishy - What did you get? I'm just very beginner, so I'm not looking for anything fancy. I've heard good things about Brother, Janome and Bernina (Bernette in my price range). I want to go to a place that carries all three so I can get a good feel for them.
roo1582 I'm also a beginner so I did some research on good beginner machines. I was using an old one of my mother's but It wasn't totally reliable. I ended up getting a Singer Stylist. It's 165 ish on Amazon. My mother is excellent on a sewing machine. My grandfather was a tailor and taught her so much. Apparently he was pretty tough and would rip stuff up when it wasn't right. I feel the need to keep the tradition going- I want to fix clothes, make the Halloween costumes and make some fun stuff. I find it relaxes me too. Wow that got long! Good luck choosing and have fun.
Today the kids had gymnastics, Amelia had a playdate, and I scrubbed my kitchen. (I'm trying to do the 14 week home organization challenge-we'll see how far I get.) Tonight we're having dinner at the neighbors' house. Tomorrow we have friends visiting from Brooklyn and our new dishwasher is being delivered. Woo hoo! Can't wait for my new dishwasher!
I pretty much slept all day. Cooper got sick last night and I'm still on the mend, so that 4 hr nap was amazeballs! Tomorrow we will probably just hang around until I have to go to work.
I did my nail and string art craft thing. It was a lot of fun and a little frustrating! Even got connected to a local lularoe lady. So really a winning afternoon.
