My skin has decided that rather than emitting that ethereal glow we all seem to hear pregnant ladies have, that it would revert back to my awkward teenager days. Thus my chin and area around my nose has begun sprouting many pimples, including a couple of quite painful ones.
I use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer daily, but know my options are fairly limited when it comes to acne treatment. What say you, oh wise J16?
Never had the pregnancy glow with DS and certainly not experiencing it now. I'm ok except for my chin - it's a mess! I use Belli face wash and the acne control spot treatment. It definitely helps my skin, but I'm just convinced that acne is something I have to deal with during pregnancy (or really whenever my hormones get wacky - I was also a mess after weaning DS). I will be following for more suggestions though.

After I dropped my pio from 2 ml to 1 I started breaking out and found this pregnancy safe product. I use it if I feel something coming to the surface.

My acne is horrible and really the only thing that works is something I cannot remember the name of at this moment (brain fart). I will have to post it later, but it has chemicals in it, so I am trying to stay away from it right now.
I have never had the pregnancy glow either, but the thing that has been really working for my acne (while pregnant) is Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser and a good night cream (I use Burt's Bee's Intense Hydration Night Cream). The Cetaphil bar dries out my skin if I use it daily, so I now have that in the shower for the rest of my body.
I swear by tea tree oil pads. I usually get them at whole foods but Amazon has them as well. I think the brand is Desert Essence. I have super oily skin and it helps so much.
I've been using the Mary Kay Clear Skin line and that has worked wonders for me. I've used Proactiv in the past and this works so much better for me. I am so glad to have found it!
