Punxsutawney Phil's Monday Randoms

I got zero hours of sleep last night. We got home from our SB party at around 11:30pm (I get up at 5:30am for work) and H was about 10 sheets to the wind. Instead of just lying down on the bed and passing out, he used that opportunity to go through a complete 360o spectrum of emotions which finally ended around 2:30am with him passing out - after randomly bringing one of our dogs into the bed to cuddle with since I was apparently, "too pregnant to [have sex with]." But that's not true either since we DTD about once per week. Not that I wanted to have sex with him last night anyway.

We don't let the dogs sleep in the bed so the one that he brought in there was like, 'SCORE!' Needless to say, he's 54lbs and has long legs, so he takes up a lot of space, I kicked him out around 3:30am when I realized I was clinging to my side and in danger of falling off. But the first couple times I told him to leave he just looked at me with a face that said, 'nope.' {sigh}

One thing I took away from H's emotional marathon was that he's as overwhelmed as I am with the fact that we're going to have a baby sometime in the next 4-ish weeks. So at least I don't feel totally crazy for being a hormonal mess recently. He has feels about it too.

I just need to make it through today (awake) and then go home and get in bed.

So it's national frozen yogurt day today which basically is the longest day ever when you run 4 froyo stores. We're doing free yogurt and toppings at all the stores tonight which is gonna suck to prep for! To make it worse 3 of the 4 store managers have never hosted one of these before so I'll be getting a million phone calls. I may be exceeding my suggested caffeine intake today.

I don't get the groundhog. Winter in New England ALWAYS lasts until like May... Six more weeks??? I'm always planning on even more than that. I feel like the date for said groundhog predictions occurs too early...That is my official opinion on the little bugger and his shadow fears.

I made hb call MD state tax office today since I wasn't sure what all to fill out on the non resident firm since I work in MD and live in pa. Since he worked in PA for most of the year and earned money in PA I don't have to file anything with md. So 1 less tax thing I have to do. I filed federal and state this weekend still have to file local since we owe for hb time in md his work couldn't figure out how to do local tax. Just waiting until we get federal money and will file local then.

Sorry in advance for the TMI, but I have pooped 3 times already today - and it's only 9 am. I am also really stuffy. I just really wish I could snuggle in with my cats and go to sleep. But work...

K is using a vacation day too We thought about it and deliberated for a half hour this morning before finally deciding he would stay home. I'm glad he did, the snow has turned to freezing rain and is supposed to be that way pretty much all day.

I get BH or cramps or light-headed or something when I try to do just about anything. Poor Haden comes over to me on the couch and literally tugs on my pants begging me to get on the floor with him but it's like OMG child I just can't. It's even worse when he reaches for me to pick him up and it takes every ounce of energy I have not to shed a tear for how bad it makes my back feel. I feel awful for him. He doesn't understand why I'm out of commission. 

It's so frustrating.

I asked my work if I could leave at lunch since we are supposed to get flash freeze at my house. I was going to work from home this afternoon but no my boss is a twatwaffle so if I leave I need to use time. I will leave early do I don't have to worry but trying not to use my time.

citybee - oh hell no! I'd tell her he can't come,and remind her if you or anyone gets sick she'll have to find other childcare for like a week! I can't believe how selfish and shortsighted she's being. I understand the working parent issues but still no excuse.
jm0848 - I think that's bs. If go talk with the daycare director to get them to move you up to the spot you should have been in based on the date you signed up since it was their error for not placing you accordingly.
frecklesinside - yes, exactly!! I never had so many frequent and strong BH. And just going up 14 steps (between levels in our house) leaves me out of breath.

Not that I like - but I feel the same. I can barely function I am so exhausted. I don't have the energy to even read a book...I went to Target with mom yesterday and she said she was surprised I lasted an entire 45 min.

I feel so useless right now. I don't know how some people are doing it...I never expected I would be this worn down.

I was super busy at work and missed a lot of what happened when everything went down and came back when it was a dead zone over there. I feel like a zombie today. I have caught whatever plague DD is getting over and that made my already crappy sleep non existent last night. I need to google to see if there are any cold meds I can take and go buy some at lunch today.

pearsforpoops - yeah I feel so bad for my DD too. She will come to me and say up mommy up! And I have to tell her sorry baby no up, and then she starts to cry. My hack for now is I'll squat down and she'll climb up on my knee and wrap her arms around me - and she feels picked up. Not sure how long I'll be able to keep doing that though!

Add me to the useless group. Last week, I did the dishes and vacuumed the kitchen floor, and could barely move afterward. I'm good for about one small chore a day and then, I'm done.

Add me to the useless and grumpy club. I felt so bad this weekend because I just couldn't get up the energy to want to do anything. I'm trying to keep DD as engaged as possible and try to give her as much attention as I can but damn, I have no interest in anything. Add three-year old attitude and defiance to the mix and I'm just worn down. I don't even feel like myself lately.

I'm so grumpy that my job made us come in today. The roads are terrible and they are supposed to get worse later in the day when the temps drop. My dad got into an accident on the way to work this morning;he's fine but his truck spun out on the Parkway and he hit the median. Luckily, there weren't many cars on the road but I don't know if his truck is fixable.

I did get an email from work saying we had a delayed opening at 10am. So what do I see when I actually get to work? An email that was sent out a few minutes after I left saying we were delayed to 11am now.

Fuck today, I ordered French toast for my second breakfast.

That sounds like my work. They update the phone system at 730. Some people start at 7 and most are 8 or later. I have to leave by 630 and am at work a little after 730. When we had the hurricane hit I hadn't moved yet and when I got to work everyone was pouring out of the parking lot so I called and turn around luckily I only live 20 mins away instead of an hour.

I hope all you ladies dealing with weather and travel issues stay safe and warm. I am having the opposite issue here in Calli. Every day that is 75 and sunny, I get more and more worried about water restrictions this summer. If you have never dealt with them, they are the worst. We have a saying here during restrictions, "If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down". We already have dirty cars and dead grass, I draw the line at flushing the toilet, sorry.

Add me to the grumpy group. I just finished the Z pack my Dr. gave me for this stupid cold and I'm still sick. I am supposed to call him this morning to let him know how I am feeling. I just want to be better. It will be six weeks now that I am dealing with this BS.

Well I did feel really bad about being so grumpy and tired and sore but judging by today's random it's more common than I thought! I'm so glad I don't have to go anywhere today since were getting another foot-foot and a half of snow dumped on us.. I have so much dishes and Laundry to do but ugh I just don't have the energy!

Glad everyone is (semi-)surviving the snow! I made it into work this morning after a hairy 40 minute drive in snow-packed roads. I was hoping some of our 9 patients in the OR today would cancel, but so far everyone has made it. Boo...

On the plus side, the hospital I'm delivering at is literally across the street and connected by a pedestrian bridge, so if anything happens today/tonight, I'm in the right place!
