becole - that sucks on the double ear infection. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon and your LO feels better. Are you also dosing with Tylenol or Motrin to help with the pain?

becole I hope LM starts feeling better soon. mom2boxers You're at 92 posts! Looks like you might become a "member" today, woot, woot!
AW: We've officially entered into Toddler territory now that M has started walking. He's been consistently walking for about a week now, but it still catches me off gaurd to look over and see him walking instead of crawling.
Rant: I'm sick of the rain, I want snow. Go home Mother Nature, you're drunk.
I just hate the mud that is the result of rain or snow melting. At least we have a baby gate that covers the opening between the living room and the kitchen so we can corral them and wipe off their paws before they destroy the carpet more.
I've slacked off on picture taking. I used to take a pic every day and now it's been less frequent. I need to clear some of them off my phone. I'll be glad when I get a new phone and more storage.
I love the company I work for and I know I'll be here for the remainder of my career. However, I'm not very fond of the job I moved up here for. I have much less one-on-one interaction with associates and I don't like that. I'm just waiting on an appealing job and/or promotional opportunity to be posted so I can throw my hat in. I'm greatful to have been able to come up here with DH (both work for same company) and am glad he has since been promoted, but right now, it hasn't been the best for me quite yet. And I'm missing my Florida friends and work family like WHOA.
@mrscatfarmer yay for walking what a milestone! Can't wait for dd to get there but will probably regret it when I'm having to chase her everywhere lol.
I won my Diet Bet for this past month. Only netted $7.69 in winnings but I'm happy so many in our group met their goals. I'm loving the 30 day shred and I am noticing an improvement in my upper body strength and overall tone. Hoping to get some cute spring/summer clothes in smaller sizes in a couple of months.
@mom2boxer yay you should be, I'm on mobile and I don't know how see that here. Also love the 30 day shred, you've reminded me that I have the dvd somewhere and need to get back to it.

ladytiffany24 that really stinks. Remind me again of how long you have been in cincy? When I first moved up here it was like whoa too. And now that all of the friends I made in grad school have moved away it's like whoa again. I hope that something opens up for you soon! It's hard missing fam/friends and not being happy with work.
LO got her first set of immunizations on Friday. The aftermath was intense. She never, never screams cries for more than a couple of minutes when she is hungry or tired. She screamed her head off for 45 minutes until the Tylenol set in. Luckily I wasn't home but I guess this is what had DH in a tizzy on Friday. Next time I will remember the Tylenol before the apt!

narbuckle01 We moved up here in September of 2013, so it's been almost a year and a half. I mean, the job isn't awful. It's just not for me. And my family is in NE Ohio so I'm closer to them now but it's not like we drive up there that often. But my best friends are in Florida. And yea, for real. I miss them hardcore. This is why I'm glad to have these boards and our get togethers! So I can work on creating some friends up here.
Thanks for the well wishes. I saw him at lunch and he was doing ok. I expected a big nap but only an hour. I have been giving Advil since it lasts longer. But probably should alternate with Tylenol. I'm always afraid I'll give too much.
So DD (3 months old)had a few screaming spells this weekend and we couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. Come to find out the poor little thing is cutting a tooth. Ugh, I feel so bad for her. What have you guys done to soothe your LO? I've bought a few things(teething tablets, orajel (too young now) teething toys) but wanted to first see what you guys have tried!

Awww poor little thing! I'm no help because my (almost) 7 month old still hasn't cut any teeth. I'm sure the other ladies with teething babies will have some advice!
jmebormann if it's really bad screaming and nothing seems to soothe her I would give some infant Tylenol. We also have different teething toys and have also wet the corner of a washcloth and then froze it. HTH, GL!
jmebormann - We like Hylands teething tablets, Tylenol, Motrin (after LO turns 6 months), and baby Orajel. The baby Orajel is all-natural and doesn't have any of the numbing agent in it that normal Orajel has that makes it unsafe for babies.
narbuckle01 - LO did better with his 6 and 9 month shots because he didn't receive as many as he did in his earlier appointments. Hopefully this is the same for yours.

Our LO has been teething crazy too. He's got two little chompers now. While they were breaking in he was also fighting an infection and on heavy antibiotics and the tylenol/motric cocktail. I'm not sure how he will do when the next round come in since he was so doped up on meds for the first two. In our arsenal we have several teether toys, some to use frozen, some with just different textures. His favorite to chew on though is the Sofie la Giraffe.
