Not sure if this has been started. I didn't see one as I was scrolling through. We are getting hit pretty hard with the snow storm. No snow days for me. The drive was pretty scary. Lots of accidents and cars off the road. How early are the LOs saying words? Last night Isaac said Dada to DH as he was holding him. Clear as day, he said it 3 times in a row. This is crazy right? Maybe just a coincidence.
I love all the sleep sounds! We've gotten laughing while asleep only - never while she's awake. And then she also makes a sound we call "the billy goat." I can't believe our laughing doesn't wake her up!
songbirdsinging55 LO has made sounds that sound like he is saying "hi dad". It is super cute. He has yet to laugh though, only gets one "HA" then smiles.
When LO gets tired of sitting in the bouncy chair or lying on the activity mat, she starts calling out "ey! eeyy!! eeeyyy!!!" At first, it's like, "look at me" but if you are still doing something else, like folding laundry, washing bottles, or attending to the dog, her dad and I say that she's capable of saying "hey!".
LO says things that sound roughly like "tired" when he is tired lol. But definitely a coincidence. But maybe he could be saying dada!
last night was so much fun. Yummy food, and DH says I'm the one who helped the patriots win. I went upstairs to give Liam his bath/put him to bed since he was super fussy. When I came back down the stairs, Edelman scored the touchdown that put them in the lead. I went back upstairs to make sure Liam was definitely asleep, and stayed on the stairs during the last ridiculously intense minute of football ever. So clearly, that's why they won. Because I was in the "sweet spot".
We didn't get anywhere with the tiramisu portion of the night, in terms of which one won. The boys were able to tell right away which one was theirs (blindfolded and all!). So no real winner, except we're all winners because we got to eat tons of tiramisu
We are getting alot more "talking" from Gio. Its not really talking....but for him it is. Its just noises basically. I keep saying momma over and over to him....cause most kids say dada first....I want to give momma a head start! lol....
Don't hate me, but Gio slept from 10 pm last night til 6 am this morning. First time ever. I don't expect this to be the new norm.....but I will admit that I hope it starts happening more often!!!
He has his pointer finger and his middle finger on his left hand completely raw from chewing/sucking on it. Its all red and chapped. Poor little fella!
I ate way too much yesterday!! We took LO to a friend's house yesterday and she did really well. They live a mile from us and I feel like we brought our whole house. My husband and I were laughing at how much going anywhere has changed!
How come they don't make mom shirts with the onesie-type collar you can pull down instead of over your head, for the massive spit ups? So gross trying to avoid smushing it all into your face/hair.

H got a half a snow day because he couldn't get out of our parking lot. His boss's boss lives the next building over in our apartment complex and they were both out there at the same time trying to dig their cars out from the 2+ feet of snow that we got. Eventually H got told to take the morning off because it was obvious that he wasn't going anywhere! I would say that we enjoyed the time together snuggled on the couch or with some meaningful conversation... but in truth he played computer games and I slept because M didn't truly fall asleep until after 1am and so my plan was to sleep as late as M did anyway. H was able to change M and play with him while I got my breakfast ready.... then I ate breakfast while H late lunch. Our schedules are so off from each other with a baby running mine!

I'm going to be an AW for a second: DD just rolled from front to back for the first time! And, she did it 2 more times after that, so she's consistent.
Well the snowstorm messed up my carefully laid return to work plans, I'm currently working from home with baby sleeping on me while I catch up on emails etc. Not bad except now tomorrow I have to go into the office and leave him with the nanny for the first time when I'm not home if there is a problem. The original plan was for my H to stay home with lo today and then I would work from home the rest of the week to make sure everything goes smoothly with the nanny. I'm having some serious anxiety and wishing I could just stay home
I swear Gerald is able to say "hey" and "hi". My husband thinks I'm crazy, but he says it after I say it to him. Like he's trying to mimick me. Count H in as another dad whose trying to teach baby to say "dad" first. I don't mind though. I'll be excited no matter what his first word is. On a differnt note, who else got super excited by the Missy Elliot appearance last night?!

We say "hi" to kiddo all the time. She can almost mimic it back.
When my LO gets upset he says "mamamamama" until I do whatever he wants me to do lol. I'm not counting that yet though. But last night I told him I loved him and he made a sound that sounded like "love you." Again, I know it wasn't purposeful but it almost made me cry.
Has anyone tried looking at the dump yet today ? I seen on Parenting that they relaunched it today and I tried checking it out. I cannot even FIND our BMB.....and it won't let me log in. Lol....they are such fail.

I got the email announcing the relaunch and had a good laugh.

Hey gals!
mander82 I lurk here and there on the dump- lol I like that name. I just may have to log in today to see what new horrors have come up!
Last night gripe water was our hero!!! I bought it after several recommendations from you guys and those IRL, just in case. Well LO ate way too much formula, lack of communication on SO and my part. LO is used to being nursed only at night now. Well he cried and cried. Finally the gripe water started to soothe him and he went to sleep on mommy's chest. I was so worried about my baby!!
I can't believe so many November babies are rolling! I'm not ready for that, she can take her time. I guess I should start teaching her "Momma" though.

Hey guys! We had a pretty fun weekend. Went to a Super Bowl party last night and then to red lobster for drinks and apps with my sisters for their birthdays. The kids did really well! My girly isn't rolling yet either. I'm not ready for it though so that's ok with me. And she babbles and coos a TON but no real words.

Crazy drive home, two coworkers had to push my car out of the parking lot at work. Then I spun out nearly hitting 2 cars. Made it safe and sound. I just got these tires last year, what's the deal?!

I've decided that M is never getting any older. He is going to stay 2 months old forever. I'll enjoy seeing pictures of your LOs as they grow up, but mine shall be a baby forever.

I had my first REAL blowout today. Since my supply was so low and we didn't know it for a few weeks, he hardly ever pooped at first, then with formula and BM he only poops like once a day. This was a shock. We were playing, and I saw him make a poop face but it was so brief I didn't think he was done yet. Waited a couple more minutes and it was all. Down. His. Legs. Eeep.
So clearly, I took a pic! Lol ;-) (I sent it to H and said I won the poop contest so far)
I got the progress report from my older son's preschool today. Basically a checklist of skills and a little written summary. Even though there's no reason he wouldn't be doing great, I got teary-eyed reading the good things they had to say about him. Motherhood is weird!
Glad Monday is done! Closed on our condo. Set up appointment to look at my finger with a hand surgeon but was hoping when I called they'd say there was no need to see me. Rescheduled other appointments around my H's travel. Lately there's been so much going on in our lives that I'm almost upset our parents aren't closer to help. It's hard to find help with LO for these one off appointments plus moving. Beer me. Hope everyone else had a peaceful Monday!
