I feel like I need to come clean with you guys.
I have posted a few times about finding a preschool for A in the fall and how I really really didn't want to send him to the ultra-religious preschool his cousin goes to that SIL has been pushing.
Well, a few weeks ago I went and visited my #1 preschool pick. It was fine. Cute. Happy kids. Drove past a farm to get there, A saw horses, it was awesome.
After much prodding from SIL and MIL we begrudgingly went to the open house at nephew's school. It is gorgeous. Bright, clean, big spaces. State of the art security systems. Loved the teacher he would have. Got to talk to the principal, she was lovely. Despite the impression the website gives, not all that religious. The teacher said bible stories are one of the things they do during circle time. They have prayer time, kids are not forced to pray but have to be quiet.
For new students, they have a lottery system. There are only 10 spots in the class, idk how many were already given to "priority" students. We put our names in and now I will be super sad if he doesn't get in.
Moral of the story: just go visit the dang school.
