After spending my third snow day in a week cooped up in this house! It wouldn't be so bad if I could just relax and catch up on DVR, but I have a 3 1/2 year old who is also going crazy. I'm outside of Boston. How's everyone else doing?
Also outside Boston. Home with a 4.5 year old. We've made Valentines, played board games, done puzzles, water play, and on and on, and it's only 12:30. It may turn in to "special movie day" later. (He's eating lunch now so I'm sneaking computer time).
Another snowed-in Masshole here Granted, we had one snow day last Tuesday and another today - with no real issues in between. No kiddos in the house yet, either (unless you count DH, who acts like he's 5 sometimes). If we did have a little one to keep occupied, I think I would break out the homemade/non-toxic modeling dough (here's a whole bunch of recipes: fun.familyeducation.com/sculpting/recipes/37041.html) and one of those movies that's good on both kid and adult levels, like The Muppets (has to be the original, though)!

I wish we had snow!!! My 2.5 yr old DS loves snow like crazy and the tiny bit of snow we had over a month ago he never wanted to come inside. I highly suggest bundling up your kid really well and playing outside! Lots of fun stuff to do in the snow!
You can always go check out a McDonald's playplace. We also have other awesome indoor play places that we would be going to a lot more if it wasn't so warm outside for this time of year. I'm on the west coast so I have no idea what options you'd have by you, but I'm sure there's something!

Cold and snowy up here in Canada! I've been housesitting/babysitting 3 kids on top of my own DD since Thursday and we are all feeling pretty cooped up as it's too chilly to play outside.
The kiddos are all going stir crazy and I have to give major props to all of you moms of 4!!! This is hard!
Ugh. We got him outside for a little bit but it was 13 degrees and actively snowing, so he made it about 20 minutes and was frozen. Roads are too bad to go anywhere; I went into work for a few hours in the afternoon and regretted it, the drive was terrible and felt dangerous. And more snow predicted later this week! I. Am. Done. We have no where left to put it!
Yep, another central Canadian here. Didn't used to worry about the fact I could wake up to anywhere from 20F to -40 F and snow on any given day for 6 months...now with an almost 19 month old I pray for at the very least a day with no wind lol!
No such thing as snow days here. If it's really really really awful the school buses are cancelled but the teachers are all expected to still be at school. I would love a stay at home day. It would be tough with a little one though!
You will all probably hate me for saying this, but I am so jealous of all of the snow you guys are getting in the Northeast. All I want to do is go skiing! I grew up in VT and lived in ME and in the Boston area for a while, but now I live in Alabama. I miss being snowed in! Hope you can find some enjoyment!
I also have a little snow envy. I am in the DC area and we have not had a good snow storm! We have had an inch fall last week? (and the closed school too because of it) I am in need of a snow day!

They closed the school for an inch of snow? I need to move there!

Yes its pathetic. One day it was supposed to snow 1-2 inches and it didn't end up snowing at all and they still closed it. My oldest is in kindergarten and even she says its ridiculous!

That is insane! We don't close the schools unless a water main freezes or something like that. I've taught for almost ten years and have never seen a school closure day here.

We may live in the same area..nothing shuts down here either. If it's -40 or lower the school buses don't run but school is still open and going. But otherwise all other businesses run as normal.
