Pregnant and TTC after a Preemie 1/30/15

Sorry guys... I couldn't get to a computer to start this last week.  I won't be offended if anyone else wants to start it on a Friday when I miss it! Also if I missed anyone or you want anything changed let me know!!!!!


Last week:
Phillygal34- Hit 34 weeks!!! No problems so far.  Minor swelling that goes down at night but BP has remained low.  Hoping for a few more weeks!
Jnetx- doctor's appointment on Tuesday and everything looked great. Had a quick ultrasound for a heartbeat check and baby was sticking out its tongue. Anatomy scan and consult with MFM scheduled for Feb 25. Should find out about P17 shots soon.  Keep up the great work!
Runningmommy519- Was 10 weeks last week! Keep growing baby!
Paradebegone- had a consult with an MFM on Thursday that included a scan. Everything with the scan looked good. Isn't sure how she feels about the consult and has to decide if she wants to try the P17 shots.  Looking for advice or input on the shots. 
tngrl3- Was 7 weeks pregnant last week and had an appointment where she saw baby measuring right on track with a HR of 139!!!
Pinogrigio- In the tww... sending all our most positive vibes to you!


Currently Pregnant:
Phillygal34- Due 3/13 with DS2.  DS1 born at 31w5d due to severe HBP and spent 26 days in the NICU. 
Paradebegone- Due 7/10- Team Blue. DD was born via CS on May 24, 2013 at 33w 4d due to pPROM. She spent 24 days in the hospital.
Jnetx--due 7/29/15. Preemie was born at 34+3 after 4 weeks of hospital bed rest due to pprom some time before 30 weeks. 17 days in the NICU, mostly as a feeder grower.
runningmommy519- Due??? DS was born at 35 weeks due to severe IUGR and pre-eclampsia. He was classified as a feeder/grower and spent 21 days in the NICU.
tngrl3- Due 9/11/15- DS born at 34 weeks due to IUGR and cord flow issues. Spent 2 weeks in the NICU. M/c in August.


Currently TTC:
pinotgrigio- TTC since 9/13 going to see RE and trying IVF- DS was born at 32 weeks but was the size of a 28 weeker due to IUGR and cord flow issues (velementous cord insertion). He spent 2 months in the NICU


Currently thinking of TTC:
marajadeskywalker - DS was born at 31w 6d. They were never able to tell me what happened

I'm probably going to sound really dumb, but what is the P17 shot?

No new updates this week (this is the last week I don't have a dr. appt the rest of this pregnancy!)

Begin weekly CL checks and progesterone shots next week (16w). Just trying to be as lazy as possible between working FT and then chasing twin toddlers in the evening (thankfully, DH does most of the chasing there, now. )

Not being able to workout or even go for walks is a PITA, but since the weather is crap, I can deal. It'll really get to me in about two months when it starts warming up, and wandering around the zoo with the girls on the weekend will sound like the best idea ever! Ugh. Just keep reminding myself that this is the LAST time I'll be restricted like this. Ever!

We are not TTC yet, but starting to think about it. We initially said we'd start trying on my next cycle. I just got my period so I guess that would be now? I just don't know if I am ready. DS is 14 months and we would like them ~ 2 years apart. I was just so excited to TTC for DS there was no question in my mind it was go time. I don't feel that way now and it is confusing me. I am not sure if it is the experience we went through with DS being early and a traumatic birth or if this is normal the second time around or what. I know I am definitely nervous to be pregnant again. We will see...I am still undecided about whether we start this month or not. DH is on board either way thankfully.

paradebegone are you still looking for input on the P17 shots? I had them starting at 16 weeks and went all the way to 36 weeks. I have a handful of suggestions and thoughts if you are interested.

I had an appointment this week and everything looks good. Currently 12 weeks which is exciting. Almost in the 2nd tri. I got an ultrasound and my heart exploded. We told DS and he seems excited.

paradebegone, Not sure if you decided to do the shots or not but one tip a girlfriend of mine told me was to keep the vial in your bra until you get to the Dr. I had mine administered by a nurse at my clinic each Friday so I drove there with the vial in my bra which warmed the liquid. The shot is very gel like and thick so warming it to your body temp helps for it to go in easier and be less painful. GL
