Best and worst thing about living in the frozen tundra?
I'm curious to how you would answer!
Best: Getting to have all four seasons Worst: Winter is so long. If it were just November-mid March it wouldn't be so bad, but snowstorms in October and April can kiss it.
Most embarrassing moment? Is there "one that got away"?
My most embarrassing moment still haunts me. It is embarrassing because I'm really ashamed of myself. In 8th grade, my BFF and I were obsessed with writing notes to each other. I was writing one in class, and got caught by the teacher. She took it away and read it silently at her desk....and she didn't miss the part where I had wrote that she was "a fat b!tch". I was written up, mortified, and sick to my stomach for weeks. My parents made me call the teacher at her house and apologize. I still feel horrible about it and am ashamed that I hurt her feelings just because I was trying to be cool.
You were probably expecting a silly one, but there it is.
"One that got away"? I don't think so! I thought the dude from my worst date was going to be my Prince Charming, but he ended up being a little too snobby behind that beautiful face.
My bucket list includes visiting all 50 states, singing karaoke, and going whitewater rafting.
Honestly, I'm very content living where I do because I enjoy that my whole family is in this state. But, if family weren't a factor, I think I'd like to live in the northwest (WA state or maybe even Vancouver).
I came up with a big list that I liked and DH helped me narrow it down, but he wasn't 100% sure on any of them so I bought him a Baby Name book since he wasn't helping. After a few ridiculous suggestions, he found C's name, and from there it just morphed into our #1 boy name. When they asked us his name, I was super groggy and drugged up from the CS, so it's a good thing DH stuck to the plan.
Other top names you considered? For boys or girls.
Boys: Henry, Jack Girls: Anna (love the name, but doesn't sound great with our last name), Kaylee Neither of our girl names will likely be on future lists; we would've been screwed if C had been a girl.
Favourite snack to bring to the movies? Do you sneak stuff in it buy it at the theater?
1) We talked about this in Mexico with our friends! The consensus was Kristin Davis.
2) Tommy Boy
3) I lurve movie theater popcorn, and can't resist. So I buy that and a pop, and occasionally sneak in some skittles or peanut butter m&ms in my purse.
When our favorite goat lady called Bookshelves a horcrux (and all the amazing gif responses). I still gigglesnort about that.
I'm still annoyed by it! (You may have noticed.)
I missed this, but keep hearing it referenced. I guess it happened when I was on a break. I know I just came back and everyone had goats in their siggys that month. Can someone elaborate further?
What milestone with LO are you most looking forward to?
Hard question! Watching him learn to walk has been so fun because he squeals with joy when he's successful. I could also say his First Day of School, but that will be very bittersweet.
What are the shows currently on your DVR/Netflix queue?
So many. On our DVR is Parenthood, Parks and Rec, Modern Family, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Madam Secretary and The Soup. I am catching up on Grey's on Netflix, and next on the queue is New Girl, Arrested Development, and Breaking Bad.

I'm too a fan of all 4 seasons, worst - I'd like to be closer to the ocean, without the heat and humidity
Something about you that's changed dramatically since motherhood?
Song that gives you goosebumps?
What's your closest IRL friend like? Are you total opposites, two peas in a pod, or somewhere in between?
1) I'm able to speak my mind more now than before LO. I'm still a people pleaser, but not nearly as bad as before.
2) I'll Walk by Bucky Covington
3) We were two peas in a pod back in college when we met, but now I'd say we're somewhere in between. Our interests have shifted a bit and now she's more proper and cultured than I.
Favorite book to read to LO? Book you have reread? Book you couldn't finish? Desert-island book?
1) Little Blue Truck 2) The Da Vinci Code 3) I had a hard time with Wicked, even before I saw the musical. 4) Harry Potter...can it be the whole series? :-)
When did you start to play piano? Favorite performance you have done? Favorite piece(s) to play? Why couldn't I ever get my left hand to keep up?
1) I started playing around 4 or 5, since my big sister unofficially started teaching me.
2) It's a tie between an honors concert I was invited to play a piano concerto in, and my Master's recital where I ended with a showy piece by an Argentinian composer. I nailed it and instantly felt such pride and relief that I was done with what I had worked toward for two years!
3) I love to play most anything by Chopin, but besides that I love to dust off my copy of the Children's Corner Suite by Debussy. Church-wise, I love me an up tempo Table of Plenty. Lol.
4) hehe! A common issue. Even after 25ish years of practice, my left is still a bit weaker and I have to practice it alone.
I am having a hard time remembering anything specific, but I've had at least two dreams where my DH cheats on me; I wake up just shaken and mad at him for a good two hours.
