Best thing: Spending so much time with C and never feeling like I missed out on something he learned or did that day.
The thing I miss most about working is the variety. Sometimes I dread going to bed at night now because my day feels like the same thing, all.the.time!
Our mornings contain my favorite moments, even though I'm not usually a morning person. We cuddle on the couch while he has his first bottle and then he's content on my lap for ten more minutes, so we chit-chat and giggle in our PJs. :-)

if you could take a road trip with anybody from f14: 1. who all would you take with? 2. where would you go? 3. what would you listen to in the car? 4. would you bring a swingline stapler? 5. if so, what color?
How did you come up with your screen name? With your profile picture? Whats the best piece of advice you've gotten from F14? If I asked teenage sjelwood what she thought she'd be doing now and where she'd be with her life, what would she say? How different is that from what you're actually doing now?
I made my SN up back when I signed up for The Knot. DH and I weren't even engaged yet, and I was kind of embarrassed about joining, so I wanted something random so nobody I knew would find me. S&J are my first and middle initial, and elwood is a mash-up of my married last name and my maiden name. Pretty lame! Profile pic was added later, and is my wedding bouquet. Not sure why I chose it, but kept it for consistency.
Teenage sjelwood thought she'd be a music teacher or an accountant, married with a couple of kids by now. It's not all that far off: my degrees are in music, and up until we moved last spring I was a church musician and taught piano lessons. But, just one LO... our loss, and length of time TTC are factors I wouldn't have thought of as a teen.
The best was when my DH (then fiancé) told me to come home from class and change into warm clothes. He took me on a surprise date to the ice skating rink that I had mentioned a few months prior. We skated and drank hot chocolate under the twinkling lights they had, and then we went to a fancy restaurant downtown. Money was tight at the time, so it was a special treat and thoughtful of him to remember!
The worst was when I finally landed a date with my crush in college. He took me out to dinner at the Olive Garden, and all was going great until it was time for dessert. We ordered one to share, and then the waiter came by to ask how it tasted. My date said something like, "It's really good, but she's making me eat more than my half!" (trying to joke, I guess), and the waiter says, "Oh, really? She looks like a good eater."
Reds and pinks. I actually remember being complimented once on my pink shirt (being a good color for me) during a HDBD. I remember the most random things sometimes.
Anywhere tropical! I've been to Punta Cana, the Cayman Islands, and now Cancun, and loved them all. I'm a beach girl.
Favorite memory was probably snorkeling with my DH in Grand Cayman. I had never done it before, and the spot we went to was amazing. If it wasn't for the mask hurting my nose, I would've done it all day.

1. I'll limit it to three others so we can hypothetically fit in my car: squirm and codypup to be the witty entertainment, and @joybaby5 to be my shy sidekick.
2. SoCal for some sunshine and to visit all the awesome F14'ers! (You'd be there at this point, too!)
