The girl scouts have a Web page and you can put in your zip code to find out where they will be selling cookies. They also have an app for android users.

My neighbor emailed to see if anyone wanted to order from her kids. I obviously responded for my desire for 6 boxes. I have not heard back in 3 days. I AM ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT. Cookies.

Same with the GD goofygoff. But my niece is in her first year, and my dad preordered my 6 boxes and will be delivering them when he comes to visit after the baby is born. Cannot wait..
Know what sucks? We already ordered like 10 boxes. But now that I'm on a dairy free diet per NICU orders, I can't eat any (well, I might be able to eat thin mints but none of the Samoas). So unfair!

That really does suck. Is the dairy free diet temporary while he is in the NICU or do they think he is lactose intolerant?

They think he has an allergy to cow milk protein (not lactose) -apparently it's common in preemies but usually goes away pretty quickly. They have me dairy free until about mid-April and then I can reintroduce it and see how he handles it.

It looks like most (if not all) of the cookies are vegan (I looked on the website), so you're probably good to go! I'm lactose intolerant and just figured this out so am excited to no end.
ETA: I take that back. I'm not sure what I was looking at before, because a lot of the cookies I was looking at that said vegan, but now don't. Not even sure how I got to that part of the website. Now I've given myself the sads. But there are still some non-dairy ones!
ETA2: Because I'm crazy and couldn't let this go for my own sake: "Does ABC Bakers offer any vegan cookies? Yes. ABC has four vegan cookies in our product line: Lemonades™, Thanks-A-Lot®, Thin Mints and Peanut Butter Patties®." www.abcsmartcookies.com/faq

Yeah but from what I read, not all batches come from abc. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the ones I ordered are from them!

For those that ordered- what did you order? Any chance you'll be buying additional boxes?
We ordered: 3 samoas, 2 thin mint, 1 tag along, 1 lemonade (never had them but they sounded good online)
I'm excited to support my niece in her quite lofty goal this year, especially since it's her first year and she has expressed some sadness to me lately about me having another baby and she's not here (long story short. She is the niece I/we had temporary custody of when pregnant with DD. Although I know my dad takes fantastic care of her I still miss her SO BAD and it seems the feeling is mutual).
But I also want to support the local girls- so I will most likely buy a box or two at the grocery store once they're set up here. But I wonder if my H will be silently judgy at how many boxes we have.. He knows of the 6 and will definitely help in eating them.

You should be able to tell by the name of certain cookies which of the two bakers they come from. For instance, I order Tag-alongs, not peanut butter patties, so my local Girl Scout council uses the other baker. Trefoils v. shortbreads is another one of the varying names.

Ahhh, I was wondering why the sane cookie had different names sometimes!
