Hi ladies,
Needed somewhere to vent. Ugh, me and little guy had a hard day! It started off with my 3 hour GTT. It was not fun, as I'm sure you guys know/can imagine. The tech was funny, she said "let us know if you throw up, you'll have to do it again". I had to lay down for a bit because I got dizzy and nauseated. Not fun. Four hours and four blood draws later, I head to work.
I live in New England and we are getting pounded by snow. I think this is the fourth storm in 10 days. The roads are bad, so luckily I get to go home early. I live ten minutes from my office, but it took me an hour. I got stuck four times in unsafe places such as bridges, intersections and an on ramp. Some people were nice and helped me. I was close to calling 911 because I was certain I would be hit by oncoming traffic. Some people just drove by, including a COP who was looking at me, rolled down his window then kept going! I finally get close to home, and I go to turn onto my road and hit a snow bank head on. I was fine, and didn't hit my belly on the steering wheel. Luckily the snow was really fluffy, if not it would have been bad. So I am scared and overwhelmed, and to top it off the damn mail truck that witnessed my accident didn't even stop! So, naturally I call my H and start sobbing, probably scaring him half to death. About ten minutes later a nice person comes and pushes me out of the snow bank. I finally made it home, safe. Me and little dude have been napping all afternoon. It was really scary, and made me terrified of driving and having something happen to the baby.
Wew. Feels better getting it all out! Now just waiting to see if my husband can get home, and I really doubt it!
