Little dude's DD was 2-9 but hubs has been saying for a while that if the Panthers made it to the Superbowl, then we'd have a 2-7 baby. He was right.
Millie must be going through a growth spurt cause she let me sleep til 10:30 this morning. Got up, peed and discovered bloody show. About 2 hours later started having very small ctx. Finally met up with my sister at 6ish pm and did the toddler switch so me and hubs could get to the hospital.
Got there around 6:45pm and was at 5 cm dilated and 90% effaced (correct term?). Dilated roughly a cm an hour until I knew I needed relief for the pain. Even though I didn't want an epi, I wasn't allowed any IV meds cause they wanted to keep track of his HB since it was steady but not doing any reacting. They didn't want the IV med to slow down his HB just in case something was going to go wrong. So I asked for an Epi b/c every ctx I had was causing me to push and at only 8 cm, it just wasn't time yet. However, my OB told me that she could manually stretch me to a 10 as long as I was up to it and realized that it was going to hurt.
I was up for it. The idea of a needle in my back was still scarier than that (to me)...and about 10 minutes later 2.0 was out. He is a bit congested sounding and a little bruised on his face because he was out so quickly....5 or 6 pushes I think was all it took to get him here. And of course, he was just minutes late in joining us for the end of the game :-)
Feeling good, just a little tender. Two very tiny tears that luckily didn't need any stitching. 2.0 is cute as can be with a head full of hair and big feet just like his sister
Edit- 8 lb, 1 oz and 20.5" long
