Good morning! We had an early wakeup, but DS went back to bed until 4:30. He's currently crawling around like a madman destroying the house. I need some coffee just to attempt to keep up with him right now.
Good morning ladies. (((Hugs))) and coffee for those with crappy nights. Especially blondemum - get yourself to the store immediately to get a new keurig!
Thanks again for all the support yesterday. LO's lip tie appointment is at 10AM this morning. Taking it one hour at a time.
Yes a new Keurig will be bought today. For now I was able to dig our old 'regular' coffee pot out of the attic, but it's just not the same as the single cup convenience #fwp
@elf828 I think @maddisonpenny might have the 360. My only thing would be how long is front carry still a comfortable option? I have no idea, but it's something I've been curious about -- like will I be able to front carry my 25lb baby for an extended amount of time?
I'm joining early today. DS thinks 4:30 is a perfectly acceptable time to wake up. He has done this several nights in a row. I had to break out the swing again. He's too big for it and it's not really working because he's crying on and off. Looks like a long day in front of me. Too bad I don't like coffee. I think I need it today.
Good luck today caer @elf828 if you get the 360, let us know what you think! I was irrationally bummed that the 360 came out so soon after I bought the regular ergo. I bought a used baby Bjorn to do front carries and it works great but hurts my back after a little while. I wonder if the ergo360 is more supportive. armfruit and other hip carry moms, does it hurt your hips to hip carry with a carrier? I'm trying to be more careful about propping lo on my hip bc I've been getting aches but I wonder if it is different with a carrier since I dont have to contort my body to keep her there. Also, I can't figure out hip carry on the ergo.
I've been out of the loop for a bit so I have lots of catching up to do.
Also I am really annoyed that we can't see lovetits. I keep meaning to lovetit like crazy on the bday thread but I dont know what I've already love titted. Not a real problem but still annoying. These first bdays are killing me, so flipping cute!
Yay iwubrory on LO's great appointment last night!
I haven't done hip carry in the regular Ergo, but I've done back carry using this video and it wasn't too difficult. DS seemed to like the different perspective, but then his hat fell off and I couldn't get it back on without taking him completely out because I was home alone.
Here's the hip carry video with the regular Ergo. I like how the mom keeps looking at the camera and smiling as if to say, "this is fun! You can do this too!" but really she's freaking out inside. No baby will ever be that calm. LOL
I do use my regular Ergo to do a hip carry with DD. She doesn't like being in it facing me. I think she'd prefer to face forward, but I had this Ergo from DS and didn't feel like I should buy a new one when the 360 came out. It works out alright, though, since she is happy with the hip carry. It's just like the way I carry her anyway, but easier and more comfortable. I figured it out watching a you tube video.
Ugh mamosey, that stinks. Can you treat yourself to breakfast and hang out somewhere until your office opens?
@elf828 I thought it was up to 30-35lbs but I think it depends on the carrier weight limit and what you're physically able to carry for extended periods of time.
Well, when the phone rings at 5:45, it's not usually good news. My dad just called to say that they had just taken my mom in an ambulance. She was having chest pains and her blood pressure got really high. Any spare thoughts would be so appreciated. I just can't imagine anything bad happening to my mom...
@elf828 When T learned to walk and then realized she could walk outside, not just in the house, any and all wearing was over. She would pitch such a fit if I tried to put her in to walk the dog, I thought the neighbors wild call the cops.
Schools are closed today and they cancelled my Kindergarten registration appt. Now I am freaking out because it is first come first serve. She promised me she only gave out 26 applications so T should be fine, but I am still freaking out.
I think I have wash and wear hair. Like the ends curl and I look like I was at the beach. It's not very professional looking though.
Huge ((((hugs))) ramfan05. I'll be sending T&Ps to you and your family. Will you be able to go to the hospital to be with your mom and dad? Keep us posted as you can.
I'm super busy today. As in, this might be my last newboarding until after lunch. I forgot we had an assembly this morning, so I need to get all my procrastinated work done in the next 45 minutes. Aaaaaand GO!
ramfan05 I'll keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers. caer Good luck with the lip tie. It's a really quick procedure. I'm hoping your LO handles it super well like mine did. Are you doing scissors or laser? mamosey Sorry today is off to such a crappy start. @elf828 I want cake and frosting ice cream right now which is absolutely impossible. squirm hey!!
Thanks for the "yays!" for weight gain. I'm hoping this is a new trend, we shall see in a month at her 1 yr.
@elf282...I have the ergo 360 and love it!! My apologies for the random jump in. I'm here but wrk has been out of control and....drumroll.....my baby cut 5 teeth in 7 days. And the 6th is just under the surface and has formed a blister over it. She is handling it pretty well. Molars are no joke!
