I called them Randos today because I used to have an employee that would always be like "oh my god that's so Rando!" Or, "Look, here's a box of rando stuff!" if you can imagine it she said it with a Valley Girl accent. She was kind of a space cadet. She even made a post-it for the box with that name. It cracks me up to this day.
I wasn't on here yesterday. I had my first day of work. It was only for a half day. I didn't get as much done as I wanted to because everyone wanted to chat. So I have to make some stuff up this morning before we go look at houses again. We're going to a different area I'm not familiar with so hopefully it'll be nice and will have a bigger zone to choose houses from. Hopefully little one participates and stays not cranky. I'll have to sit in the backseat with him again.
I got up after LO's first feed and went for donuts. Fatty over here. Just sounded good!
tacocat Good luck on the house hunt! My best friend is house hunting and now I have the fever, but I have no reason to move!
I have a meeting at work today and am taking Em. My husband and I work together and he's going to be on daddy duty in his office. Hopefully it goes smoothly.

tacocat I won't be going anywhere! I lurked the dump yesterday. Seems to be drive by posters who don't even attempt to look at the responses or lurkers that have come out, idk if it's because the entertainment from the regs is gone and they're bored or they feel "safe" (per dump admins)
Here's my rando. I'm finding out my ds hates covers. I started putting his baby blankets on him to test my theory. They aren't heavy and he doesn't have on heavy clothing. Right now he has a diaper and t-shirt on. He's such a sweaty little fellow... Well out popped one hand, then a cute little foot, then the kicking and squirming and cooing commenced until it's all off! I stopped swaddling in week 2 because of his escape artist ways... Idk what to do with those little icebox hands and feet!
millm0m Donuts! Were they the fluffy kind or the cake kind? Cake donuts are my favorite, but I love apple fritters too. Krispy kremes are gross to me. I still haven't given in to my donut craving but you sure did activate it!
Baby is cluster feeding in the morning! What?
FX for happy babies during house hunting and office duty!
tacocat Good luck house hunting millm0m Now I want donuts as I pump. pixie523 Good luck with appointment today. lovebuggies12 Try mitts for hos cold hands?
LO refused to nap longer than 30-45 minutes yesterday. Resulting in raging and discontent. Didn't help that she was snacking 2 oz every 1.5 hours or so. She last ate around 9pm and crashed around 10pm. It freaked me out that she slept until 6am. I feared she would be too hungry. Baby need to nap!

gldnbearz I put his mitts on and he sweats in them. Then all that fuzz crud gets in there lol and to top it off he eats the mitts!! Makes for a gross clean up lol.
lovebuggies12. My little guy is super hot all the time but always has cold hands. I figure since he is happy, it doesn't bother him so I don't bother to cover them up.
gldnbearz that was Liam the other day. He last ate at 7:30. I think it was only two or three ounces. He fell asleep at 9 and didn't wake Til 2. I never thought he would have slept that long without a full tummy
H is going away in business this week. He has gone out a few times since Liam was born, but I'm just so exhausted that I'm packing up and going to mom's house! Hoping Liam does well. If he sleeps less there though, I'll just sleep at home.
Kind of hoping mama will do a night so I can get more than three or four hours of sleep in like 4 months
jjh1119 it actually doesn't hurt as long as it doesn't get bumped! I think that's why I'm being a big baby. I know they're going to touch it to look at how the finger is healing. Booooooo
lovebuggies12 my lady always has icebox hands. We used to put socks on inside of her jams but her feet seem less cold now. I just steam up her hands when we snuggle. The rest of her is usually warm enough.
zengal - just plain ole donuts. I had my eye on a blueberry cake one, but I was afraid of what all that sugar would do to my stomach. I only got 3, and now realize that was silly because I could have done some more for second breakfast. Waiting 11 minutes until 11:00, then I feel it is acceptable to heat up leftovers for lunch!
We had our two month appointment yesterday. She's gained like a champ so I no longer have to wake her to eat or force her to eat in order to get 8 feeds a day in.
But oh, she did NOT like those shots. At first I thought she was going to be fine, but the delayed reaction was horrific. I've never seen her cry real little tears and her face turned bright, bright red. I had my part-time job last night so my husband was staying home. He texted me a bunch to let me know she was running a mild fever and she wouldn't stay asleep in the newborn napper on the pack and play, which is where she usually sleeps. She was just too hot. He'd been rocking her for 90 minutes and she was deep asleep so we put her in the crib for the first time. It last a few hours, but there was just too much flailing to put her back. Luckily, a little infant tylenol cooled her down and I got her back in the napper, asleep unswaddled.
I hope she's better today, we've got a new mommy class and a bris to attend.
gldnbearz I put his mitts on and he sweats in them. Then all that fuzz crud gets in there lol and to top it off he eats the mitts!! Makes for a gross clean up lol.
MH removes her mitts in the AM so she can chew on her hands. Once he said she managed to pull off one mitt and was chewing on the bare hand.
We swaddle her arms out so the mitts are to keep her from scratching herself and keep her hands warm.

My little guy does this too. He's already sweaty but adding the slobber and lint really is a magical combination. His nickname is "stinky paws" - of course, I say that with love ❤️
Having a wonderful pumping day at work (sarcasm). Got walked in on for the second time and then had to pump in the bathroom because all the conference rooms were being used. Also, I pumped on the car ride to work (wearing a hands free bra) but FORGOT to pack another bra or breast pads. So I'm at work wearing a hands free bra with paper towels stuffed in it. Yay me
Oh man. Of course I've met the babysitter, but I've just arranged so that my baby is going to meet her for the first time this week. This means I'm leaving my baby bubble soon/I'll be entering the real world again! And I don't want to!

We had a dog before LO was born. When he comes in from outside, we wipe his paws. Now when I take a wash cloth to LO's spitty hands, I misspeak and tell her we're wiping her paws.
Oh my gosh catlady22! You need a deadbolt for your door! But I'm laughing a little at the bra situation. That sounds like something I'd do. I have a goose egg on my forehead because yesterday I leaned down to get my phone charger and damn near knocked myself out on the corner of my nightstand. Hoping your paper towels hold up!
zengal I really do, I had a sign up but the men of my office like to barge in anyway. On the bright side, it might teach them to knock more! I'm laughing picturing the nightstand incident, yep definitely something I would do. While pregnant I hit my stomach and hips on every counter in my house.

tacocat good luck house hunting! we have to start soon ourselves, just have to wait on a few things to sort themselves out first though.
lovebuggies12 our little guy runs hot as well. we just make sure we keep the heat on around 70 and just make sure the rest of him is warm. it doesn't seem to bother him though. we tried mittens too and it just made his hands sweaty and gross as well.
jjh1119 hope it goes well at your mom's house (I'd probably do the same if DH was out of town too haha), and that you both get some sleep!

I basically did that once, but I forgot to pack pants in my gym bag. Luckily, target opens at eight, but I didn't realize it until after I'd showered post workout so I had to put sweaty yoga pants back on to go hit the clearance rack. Luckily, my pumping bra is more of a bandeau top that I wear over my nursing tank.
One more in the icy baby hands camp. LO fights the swaddle so we gave up and are currently doing the Halo micro fleece swaddle with arms out. I'm shocked at how cold her hands are sometimes in the night but it doesn't seem to bother her.
I'd like to meet the brainiacs who think putting the Vit D and probiotic drops in those little slooooow single drop bottles is a good idea. There's got to be a better way. I put them in LO's bottle when she has one but most days it's just the boob so she has to be patient (ha!) while I put drops on a paci for her. Certainly not her favorite activity.
I survived my first day of work yesterday because I was able to work from home due to the storm...I had to go to my office 1.5 hours away today. I did bot sleep last night and ugly cried the whole time I was getting ready and part of the drive. Before he was born I never expected it would be this hard to go back to work, I like my job and was adamant I wouldn't want to be a SAHM because of that. Yeah fast forward a couple of months and I was ready to quit my job this morning but my H keeps reminding me we need my health insurance etc. I survived the day and am finally home snuggling my sweet boy. He was fussy and refused a bottle for 5 hours (he is ebf and normally eats every two) today but doesn't seem too upset now.
Good luck to the house hunting ladies, we are in the process of closing on our new home and will be moving sometime in March!
pixie523 Relieved to hear you are on the mend - and so happy that you will continue to milk your injury! Love that.
spikesmom I am on the countdown to return to work and your words could be my own. I love my job and could never ever have imagined wanting to stay home. Now I can't imagine ever being away from this little girl! I'm so glad you survived your day. You give me hope!
