Odd behavior- LO scared of stuffed toys

Does she associate stuffed animals with being put down in her crib for a nap/you leaving? I know DS has a pretty strong sense of the symbolism behind what certain objects and situations mean for him.

We don't have the stuffed animal issue but my lo also doesn't like solid tasting food yet and we've been pushing it for over a month. He spits the solid stuff out. I was thinking it would just take some time.

Our issue with LO is random stranger anxiety towards people she seems on daily basis at daycare. Last month or so, she'll start crying when the lunch lady brings in food for the older babies, randomly towards parents at pick up time who she seen since she started there. Helper she seems daily who she use to never have a problem now she cries some days. But the heater repairman she's never seen before who came into their room, no issues with.

sounds like could be anxiety with people she associates w/ being separated from you?

DD1 was absolutely terrified of the fisher price dog for a long time. She had zero interest in stuffed animals until she was 20months old.

My daughter has been getting frightened lately of loud noises, and some stuffed animals (but not all). The creepy doll my grandma sent her? She loves it. She used to love a giant giraffe we had in her room until one day it just freaked her out so now it's in another room. Her great grandmother sent her a cute little bear and she screamed at that immediately so we put that away too.

I wouldn't say it's part of disorder just yet. I think your baby is just scared of stuffed animals right now, and that's okay. And I'm not sure that babies can tell the difference between stuffed animals and real animals...per say. My brother said when he was little he would be mean to our dog because he just thought it was a toy that moved--not a living thing.

My DD had this same thing as a baby and it lasted until about 2 years old. Not sure what her issue was but now she loves them and has about 10 in her bed (shes 3 now).

DS hates Elmo with a passion... thank goodness!

He also freaked out during Super Bowl whenever there was cheering... there were only four of us and the cheering wasn't too loud. I think it was just sensory overload for him.
