Looking for a girl middle name! We are set on the name Charlotte, which has sentimental meaning to us. No middle names are sounding just right.
Open to anything just about. The biggest restriction is no C or S names as our last name begins with S. We have no family names we would be willing to use either.
I'm not a huge fan of the usual middle names *Marie, Katherine, Grace etc*
Are C names off limits even if they are hard Cs (and so would not sound alliterative with the first or last name)? Also, I am taking your "open to anything just about" pretty literally, but I promise there's normal stuff in there too... Charlotte Alice Charlotte Aysel Charlotte Aeronwy Charlotte Aoife Charlotte Amphitrite Charlotte Ariadne Charlotte Andromache Charlotte Althea Charlotte Brighid (BRIDE) Charlotte Bernadette Charlotte Demetra Charlotte Eve Charlotte Emmanuelle Charlotte Eos Charlotte Evangeline Charlotte Francesca Charlotte Freya Charlotte Frances Charlotte Georgiana Charlotte Ginevra Charlotte Hero Charlotte Iona Charlotte Isabella Charlotte Iris Charlotte Johanna Charlotte Julia Charlotte Lucinda Charlotte Laurentia Charlotte Miranda Charlotte Marisa Charlotte Mira Charlotte Myrrhine Charlotte Natalia Charlotte Noelle Charlotte Niamh Charlotte Octavia Charlotte Persephone Charlotte Raphaelle Charlotte Raphaela Charlotte Rochelle Charlotte Thetis Charlotte Thais Charlotte Valentine Charlotte Valentina Charlotte Winter Charlotte Xanthe Charlotte Xiomara Charlotte Yseult Charlotte Yael Charlotte Ylva Charlotte Zephyrine
Why do you feel like you have to have a middle name? We personally have a hard enough time trying to find a first name for a girl. No way I would stress about a middle name. My step-mom was never given a middle name so when she got married, she made her maiden name her middle name and I always kind of liked that idea. Her maiden name was Clark though, so it made a nice middle name. My last name would be a ridiculous middle name. Just a thought.
cbrandt1 my son has a MN, so do my husband and I. Not having a MN is not really an option and would feel really odd for us personally. I understand your thought, I just think we need one.

Charlotte Aileen Charlotte Estelle Charlotte Giselle Charlotte Lenore Charlotte Lorraine Charlotte Lucille Charlotte Maeve Charlotte Maxine Charlotte Nadine
Hard Cs (I'm a Charlotte C Ln, and while I'm not desperately in love with my mn the initials have never bothered me despite my hatred for alliteration): Charlotte Clara Charlotte Cora Charlotte Corinna Charlotte Corinne Charlotte Coraline Charlotte Cressida Charlotte Catriona Charlotte Ceridwen Charlotte Clementine Charlotte Cassiopeia Charlotte Caoimhe Charlotte Claudia Charlotte Cosima
You've gotten lots of great suggestions! I like a mn to have meaning, so if you have no family names, have you considered finding another name or pp's suggestion of a nature or other type name that is something special to you or would honor someone special? I am someone who picks someone I want to honor and finds a way to do it, and nobody else has to see the reference.
Typically I'm of the same mindset. However, since the first name holds a lot of meaning (we met while living in Charlotte, do not live there any longer) we decided the middle name would just be one that we liked.

Charlotte Alice is one of my favorite combos and very high on the list for a potential girl #3. (Yes, I'm already naming my third child when my second isn't even two months old.)
There may be repeats.
Charlotte Alexandra Charlotte Anna Charlotte Diana Charlotte Eloise Charlotte Eliza Charlotte Eve Charlotte Flora Charlotte Genevieve Charlotte Gwendolen Charlotte Helena Charlotte Isabelle Charlotte Iris Charlotte Ivy Charlotte Julia Charlotte Juliet Charlotte Josephine Charlotte Louisa Charlotte Lyra Charlotte Livia Charlotte Lucia Charlotte Magdalena Charlotte Miriam Charlotte Miren Charlotte Miranda Charlotte Matilda Charlotte Noelle Charlotte Natalia Charlotte Penelope Charlotte Petra Charlotte Philippa Charlotte Rosalind Charlotte Rosemary Charlotte Thea Charlotte Victoria Charlotte Willa Charlotte Wilhelmina
Charlotte Diana gives a blatant British Royal Family vibe to me; I wouldn't pair them together for that reason. (Princess Diana and Prince William's new daughter, Princess Charlotte).
I don't keep up with the royals, so I wasn't sure what her name was. I think it's beautiful regardless.

Same feeling with this pair. Also my mother's name, and want to avoid family members as MN.

Princess Diana is the late grandmother of Princess Charlotte, but yes, a very royal vibe.
No worries, no chance at that being our MN choice.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who gave suggestions on this thread. We have decided on Charlotte Elise for our daugther. Now just have to wait until July for her arrival!
