Hello. I did an intro way back when this forum started, but all our adoption dreams have been put on hold until I finish my MA (hopefully next spring).
I am starting to research again, and I found two domestic (US) agencies that work on a sliding fee scale based on your income level: Independent Adoption Center and Premier Adoptions. I was wondering if anyone had worked with either of these agencies and how ethical and reputable they are.
We tried domestic adoption before and had a horrible experience due to a very unethical agency. I don't want to repeat that failure.
Are there any lower fee agencies or sliding scale agencies you would recommend?
I used a law center for my adoption, but used IAC for our home study, ICPC, and post placement visit. I had a positive experience with them for those parts of it.
