Thank you all so much for the thoughts and prayers for my husband. He seems to be doing better finally. He has had fevers about 12 hours apart instead of back to back. He had tests done to see if his treatments and medication for his crohns was causing an infection and those came back negative which means he can still have his treatments. That is good news because we weren't sure what else they could do for him if he couldn't have them any more. However, they think it could be something else pretty serious that might affect us having any other kids if he has this we will have a lot of questions for the doctor but for now we are just waiting until the results come in. He called his GI doctor today though because he's now having crohns symptoms so he's supposed to call back in a couple days if it hasn't cleared up. On top of all this we just found out today his dad has prostate cancer. They said it's treatable but they are wanting to try natural things first (that's got us worried). Stress is really bad for autoimmune patients so this added stress is not good for my husband right now. Not to mention the word cancer no matter how treatable is always scary. He lost his brother to leukemia at 14 so for them it's bringing back a lot of memories. Anyway, thanks again for all your support and hopefully those other tests will come back negative and he will continue to get better.
Glad YH is doing somewhat better! Continued prayers for you and your family, so that he continues this upswing and for your FIL. Sounds like your dealing with a lot.

Oh goodness. I am sorry about the prostate cancer news, I hope it is something caught early and is treatable so your H can keep his stress levels down. I am glad to hear he is doing at least a little better at the moment. Please keep us posted.

I'm sorry you are dealing with all of this. It's good to hear DH feels a little better. Hopefully you get more good news when you get the remaining test results.
I'm so sorry you, your DH and family are going through all this, all at once. I hope his fathers's cancer was caught early and responds well to treatment. And most especially, I hope you guys get some answers and your husband starts feeling better soon.
Also -- is there anyone around to give you support? I get the impression you're holding everything together to reduce any stress on your DH, and that's one big burden to be carrying yourself. Wishing you all the support you need, plus a little laughter to lighten the load, if only for a moment.
So glad you have some good news. And so sad you have some bad news. Both my husband d and I come from families full of prostate cancer. Here's hoping his dad kicks it as quickly as some of our men have.
You, your DH, and your FIL will be in my thoughts. I hope things start to turn around in a big way very soon. Wishing you strength as you continue to take care of your LO and DH.
Am so sorry this is happening for you all right now. I'll be thinking of you, your DH and FIL and saying a prayer too. It really is a lot for you to be dealing with right now so make sure you are being kind to yourself as best you can.

I hope your husband starts to feel better soon! And thoughts and prayers also for your FIL. My mom has an auto immune disease, I understand what ya mean that stress makes things worse. Hugs to you and your family!

His parents are an hour away and the rest of his family lives 2 hours away. His mo has come to help a couple days thankfully!! I hate to ask her for more than the once a week now though with the new news about his dad. My family is all our of state. I am pretty much just trying to hold it together and my husband is frustrated with being sick and has been a little rude sometimes and I finally got onto him about it last night. I just can't keep sucking everything up!
Thanks everyone for all your kind words and thoughts bad prayers!!

Thanks for sharing this! That gives us more hope it sounds like he will be ok with treatment but his mom is on a natural diet kick bless her heart and I just don't know of that's realistic for him. We shall see.
Thanks for updating us birdhut, I know I have been thinking about you often, hoping and wishing things gets easier and you find some answers. So to that end, I'm glad there has been some improvement and light for your hubby.
I'm sorry to hear about the added stress your FIL is going through. Like jennyinheaven mentions, I know of so many prostate cancer success stories. So fingers crossed treatment (in any and all forms) goes well. My university room mate's husband was diagnosed at 27, that was 7 years ago. He is now officially cancer free!
