carissalynp Well that was easy(ier)! So glad to hear the vet appointment went well!
I am a volunteer for the Atlanta Boxer Rescue and have the sweetest foster dog EVAR! I got her immediately after pulling her from a kill-shelter and got to name her and everything. She and L are in love with each other. She has horrible separation anxiety and has been prescribed diazepam for when I go to work and leave her in the crate. She's been in the hospital all week because she had some growths removed on Monday and I get her back tomorrow! I'm so excited!!!
Also, I'm super torn because I want to adopt her (hello, foster failure) but I can't because I'm trying to move to California soon. Once the results come back from pathology (assuming they are negative), she will be ready to adopt out. I am dreading letting her go.
This is again why we are Soul Sistahs, my dream is to own a boxer rescue!! Boxers are my favorite.
Ive been baking cakes for the past 2 hours. Im also gonna attempt to make fondant and a fancy dancy cake for Avas birthday since I'm not really throwing her a party, just a cake some family and pictures. What was I thinking.

@cara5565 I understand completely. It's a hard call to make. Would the warmer climate position be a similar job? Something you'd like as well as the one being discussed now? If it's less travel and warmer, that doesn't sound so bad (if you like warm).
I mostly lurked parenting but chimed in on F14 a few times. I had a hell of a time figuring this new ap out and still can't figure out how to start a discussion from my phone. I will officially intro when my technology challenged self figures it out. I have been debating on intro'ing for months, I guess now is the time...sorry to jump in here randomly. I'll go catch up now ☺
I love a narwhal reference.
Emoji fail. That was supposed to be two thumbs up.
So apparently I do not do any better talking to people in real life than I do on forums I just went to a moms meet up group for the first time. It was a nice play date in the park, but I feel like I stood there awkwardly and did not talk very much. At least I got the names of a few moms who live near me with babies a similar age. Thats a start right?

You've already done better than me. I went to a mom's meet up group when LO was 2 months. He had just gotten his shots and wanted nothing more than to be home in his swing. As I was telling the women there that I had to leave, one of the girls rudly said, that's why I made sure to take my kid out a lot in the beginning. REALLY??!!! Like your kid is an angel all the time. Just put a sour taste in my mouth. Haven't been to another group since. But I know I will need to sooner or later.

Geez that seems pretty rude. There are also some library story times I want to try out soon no that LO might no what is going on. It seems to be a less stressful way to meet moms? (or a way to not say anything at all I suppose) Maybe that would be a good place to start again
annie0714 - LO loves story time at the library. Our local library has this guy, Patrick, who plays guitar, sings, has a magical box, and all sorts of fun extra stuff! The kids love him. He's sort of a local celebrity to the kids.
Jumping in on Page 17. Crazy day today, but I can say with complete confidence that I kicked ass, took names, and was just firing on all fronts. I feel rejuvenated about work, which was very much needed. I also worked another 10 hour day today...which means a 40 hour week instead of the 16 I was scheduled for.
How is everyone? Did I miss anything important? I saw some GBCBCBCBBing in the fffc thread. Day 2, I'm impressed.

Dudes mh is laughing his ass off that I'm giving useful technical advice for this app/site. Let's just say that I'm not the most tech savvy person and leave it at that.

That's how I felt I may have come off at our F14 SDgtg. I felt like I was off to the side and didn't really talk to anyone other than LO.
Well that is better than me. I chickened out of that gtg even after asking for the info. I was too nervous. What area of San Diego are you if you don't mind my asking? The meetup group for SD 2014 babies that I just joined is huge. There are 5-6 meet ups everyday and are all over the area
