Flipping out here because DH is over an hour late and cannot be reached by phone at all:(. Not unprecedented but rare enough that I'm worried at this point

DH does this on occasion. The wise tLex advises me to come up with three scenarios that are more likely than whatever I'm thinking. So... Dead phone, forgot phone, can't reach phone while driving.

Sorry innanni DH has a job where he can't have his cell phone and is almost never at his desk and gets so many e-mails a day he wouldn't see mine if at all. I have to call the main office secretary or page him (yes, page! wtf) if something happens. It sucks. Hopefully it's nothing and his phone is just on silent so he's not hearing it ring.
Anyone else have to keep looking at your notifications to clear the number? I always have to do it with emails, phone calls and VM on my iPhone and now I'm doing it here. Slight OCD issue? I think so.
Is that on the app? I don't see it. I have so much to learn here.

The office supply store he works for is moving locations. He's in charge of networking the new building and the place is being remodeled, so he says that all the noise of that prevents him from hearing the phone. Also, he was totes engrossed I his project, which sounds like him.

Glad it was nothing but it's still unnerving. If my DH is engrossed with something in the house he doesn't hear me so I can only imagine what all the construction noise would add to it.
Haven't read since my last post but I forgot a very important piece of information earlier. The bar we are going to has mashed potato pizza. Omg.
I am going to nom it so hard.
Mashed potato pizza! Last night I had Mac n cheese pizza and that was heavenly. I would love a slice of both side by side. And maybe a turkey dinner pizza too with cranberry dressing and gravy...
rondackhiker wow you've had a rough day! Glad both kids are ok, but how scary! I hope they are tucked into bed and you can relax for the evening with some wine!

Just now checking in! I'm still pretty overwhelmed with trying to understand this format and dealing with constantly being logged out for no reason on my app.
Also, welcome to everyone who jumped and introed! I'm not gonna lie--it's a reaaaaallly awkward and strange time to intro, but still happy that the lurkers are coming out to play. We've always been a pretty solid board so, the more the merrier.
holy randoms batman. i came back from lunch, tried to keep up, and this is what made it through the gauntlet:
HatTrick my pedi suggested feeding LO water in the middle of the night too, and she suggested it as if it would be the simplest thing in the world to do: "just offer him water; he won't bother to wake up after a few nights." Nope, nope, nope. Did. not. work.
even though I have big boobs, my biggest problem with button downs is that they have to be ironed. yuck.
shellbell we too are having trouble with figuring out how much table food is enough. LO definitely seems to have preferences: if I feed him carrots, he'll eat five pieces and then cry to be let out of the high chair, but if I offer him cheese, he'll keep eating until I think he's going to explode. But I can't just feed him cheese...right?
hashtagrainbow have you had the pot roast sandwich at Jason's Deli? It is like a warm hug in a sandwich. And I can't believe someone had the nerve to tell you where to sit at a bar. Definitely okay to cry over spilled Pinot.
rosiepeare adding olive oil to purees? that's genius. i've really wanted to feed LO peanut butter because delicious and calorie-laden, but i've been trying to be good and follow the pedi's guidelines for introducing possible allergens. About how much oil did you add?
annie0714 i ruin every mommy get-together for myself by constantly worrying what the other moms are thinking about me and whether my son will erupt unexpectedly. I swear that every time I go to the library reading time, my son is the only one who wants to crawl around the room searching for cords instead of sitting, smiling and clapping. But i do think that the more you try to go to these shindigs, the more likely you are to find someone who understands the urge to stand in the corner but is willing to draw you out of it!
rondackhiker that's so scary, and I'm so impressed that you could stay calm and know exactly what to do!
