I was planning on posting a couple things later today. A board roster and a weekly ticker update. That seems to be the norm in most other BMBs. I really hope we get more people joining soon!

Cool. I would love to see a roster started, but didn't feel like doing it myself. My attendance around here will be spotty for few weeks, due to the upcoming move...
Is it a big move peanutmuse or local-ish? I really want to move but our location is good for our jobs right now. FX for good betas!
Local. We are leaving our city house in the arts district to move to a house in the burbs with more than 2x the amount of square footage we have, a yard, and great school district. I am so excited for my jetted tub in the master bath!

Thinking of you and FX your betas come back great peanutmuse ...is it weird that when I called to request an order for betas (PGAL + spotting) they told me that 'they don't do beta draws'? The nurse understood what i was asking for and I'm assuming she had my chart in front of her so I'm confused. There's no way other than stalking the parking lot to get ahold of one of the doctors and it took me three days just to get ahold of a nurse so I might just keep myself together the best I can until my nine week appt.

That's so exciting!! Good luck with the whole process, I hope it goes smoothly!

Took the morning off the cuddle the new puppy. She is such a little love. I'm hoping the warmer weather that we're supposed to get doesn't bring too much rain for the sake of house breaking. She is just the distraction I needed these early weeks.

sophiegrace, TBH, I have never asked for betas before, because I understood that one miscarriage did not necessarily indicate a problem and didn't really think it was necessary. But now that I have had three losses and have been (obviously) diagnosed with RPL, it's just part of the protocol.
I did have betas for my second pregnancy, but that's because I was working with an RE and had an IUI and that was standard operating procedure.
If you are having a lot of anxiety, there is no harm in calling again and asking to speak with your OB -- even if it takes a few days for a return call.
sophiegrace, I just reread your story. I couldn't remember if you were the one with the late term loss. So I am going to give your OB's office a big WTF for not being more supportive. I think you need to call again. This is just not cool.

Thank you. I honestly wasn't sure if I was overreacting and in the wrong or not. It's a giant OB/GYN system and the only one allowed to deliver babies in a two hour radius. The doctors are fantastic once you're in the room with them, but it's like jumping through hoops to get there. I was promised at my postpartum check up that their job for my next pregnancy was to make me feel as emotionally calm as possible...one week in and they failed. HAH.

peanutmuse I just saw your first comment. I think I just wanted betas because of my anxiety. I have no concrete reason to think I'll have a miscarriage, and that early doubling betas don't promise a perfect pregnancy, but i guess I thought that if I had enough evidence of things moving along as they should I would be able to enjoy this part of pregnancy.

goldenlove3 I just saw in the roster that you might find out the sex on Friday! How exciting! If you do, will you let the doctor just tell you or will you want to do it more privately?

I was thinking of having them write it down so we can look at it ourselves later but I think H wants to just find out. We'll see who wins!

I understand. Even though it wouldn't be necessary from a clinical standpoint, it's not going to harm anything and they should be more supportive of you throughout your pregnancy, sophiegrace.

My first randoms! So fun to come out of lurkedom...We are the process of selling our house and it has been so stressful! Trying to keep the house clean for showings with a two year old and dog is mission impossible. I'm also worried about the timeline of selling and buying. We have an offer coming today (granted, it could be shitty) but we haven't found any houses we love yet.

My office doesn't typically do betas but they have been great about minimizing my anxiety. I would think with your history they would help you out...I would stalk them

I also thought about the roster one, but didn't have any idea how to do it, haha. So thank you!

So funny story, for our first, H wanted to find out, I didn't. We had the tech write it on a card, I took the card home and hid it with the plan to open it later, like at 20 weeks or something. It sat in my hidden spot the whole time, never opened. Clearly I won

I've gone to several different doctors' offices for my pregnancies, and at some betas have been standard, and others have never offered them, but in your case, sophiegrace, I would push for it because they can do it, and for your peace of mind, they really should do it.

hangry props to you for holding out! I could never wait, especially with the answer right in my house. What a wonderful moment that has to be at birth. It almost makes me wish we would suck it up and be team green.
I have zero desire to be team green. I understand why people do it and find it special, but it's just not for me. I went into shock right after my son was born, and if that's the moment I found out that he was a boy -- well, I'm not sure it would have even registered for a while.
