Took me six tries to change hell to help and l almost kept it for it accuracy. Anyway...do any of you have tricks beyond the eat before getting out of bed, ginger candies, and constant snacking throughout the day? I'm struggling hard. I haven't thrown up yet, but am in pre throwing up feeling constantly. I have four surgeries this afternoon and the thought of standing there for hours with a mask on my face is making me want to just lie down and cry.
Sorry I dedicated a whole thread for this, I was hoping as many people could see it as possible.

Thank you so much calindistarbuck27 and tgrimes1980 ! The peppermint oil in the mask is genius, and happily the only oil I actually have in my house. I just get off the phone with the doctor's office and they won't prescribe me anything until pregnancy has been confirmed via ultrasound (8 weeks). She suggested looking up the dosage for unisom and B6 since that's what diclegis is minus the slow release capabilities.
This past Tuesday over in CAR I actually asked for nausea since I wasn't feeling any symptoms. Good job, self.
That's bullshit. That's your OB or your PCP? My doctor wrote me a Zofram RX when I was 4 weeks pregnant last time since I was flying out of the country, to have just in case.
And unisom is a sleep aid so if you're in surgery, I don't think you want to take that. I know Zofran can make you sleepy but at least it isn't specifically for sleep!

My OB, they're assholes. Took over the whole tri county area so they could be a mega practice and now they can't keep up with all their patients.
I keep going back and forth on whether or not I should just get through my own office. They would send it for me without hesitation, but my ethical side is having a hard time justifying it. Give me a few more days and I may be thinking differently though.
As a compromise, could you go to a walk-in or call your PCP and ask for it? At least it's not ethically questionable.
(Edit: I didn't meant to make that sound like I at all question your ethics. You need the drug, your OB are assholes, you're waffling on whether to ask where you work... Was just suggesting a third option!)

Don't you worry calindi I truly appreciate your insight. I left a message for them (PCP) a few minutes ago so hopefully I'll hear back soon.
I like the PB idea @badwolf321. My normal diet consists of 100-120 grams of protein a day, but it's been easier to put down carbs the past few days. Thinking about it though, when I force down protein I do feel noticeably better. And any excuse to eat spoonfuls of peanut butter, right?!

I hope the PCP helps. Here's the thing, even if you were NOT pregnant, uncontrollable nausea is something that could be treated anyway. So yes, your OB is an asshole.

PCP wants me to try again with the OB on Monday since he self admittedly didn't feel comfortable treating pregnancy symptoms without specific orders. I ate my peanut butter, cheese sticks, and hard boiled eggs in between cases this afternoon and felt great until about an hour ago. Hopefully whoever I get on the phone on Monday will be more receptive or direct me to someone who could help and until then I'll keep up with everything y'all offered. All your responses and help are just one of the many reasons I'm so happy and appreciative that I joined this boards.
