Is there any way your BF can take some time off to help out? Honestly, I would keep LO home no matter what. My LO has had two fevers and hospitalizations already, and believe me, you want to avoid that at all costs. Is your boss aware of the situation?
Mmm, this is tough. I'm sorry you're dealing with this . Could your SO take off a day or two so it's not just you missing work? DH & I try to evenly split sick days so it all doesn't fall on one person. I'd also call your pedi and ask them what they think. Since your LO may have already been exposed and is over 2 weeks, they may want to monitor her or start Tamiflu...just a thought.
I'd stay home. The flu is no joke for newborns. And a fever automatically admits them to the hospital. Better to be safe than sorry. Your boss should understand!
Another thought, if your child does get the flu, chances are you'll be out even longer than you would be trying to prevent exposure, kwim? I'd figure out a way for someone to stay at home with her until it blows over if I could.
It might not be financially feasible, but you might want to start looking for a more reliable day care option. This sort of thing is going to happen again given your current set up.
I hope your LO stays healthy! You don't want to mess around with the flu.
