Couldn't find one from earlier and since it's so late, figured we may as well have it crossover for tomorrow as well.
I am making a trip to Arkansas in a couple of weeks to see my family (mom, grandmother, aunt, uncle, and cousins). My other aunt from CA will be coming as well as my in laws who live in MN. Making the trip so that my family will at least have some in-person baby bump time. My mom has graciously offered to host a 'Peanut Celebration' while I am there - nothing big; just tea and cake and other yummies. There will be some very close family friends who I know well who will also attending.
My bitch comes in that my cousin who is 12 years younger than me has gone ahead an invited her friend (who I do not know at all) to the event. She didn't ask if it would be OK, and in fact she hasn't even told my mom - she told her older sister who then gave my mom a heads up. Am I just hormonal or is this completely discourteous? I mean, for goodness sakes - I get that she goes to college 2 hours away and wants to spend some time with her friends, but we are talking two measly hours on an early Saturday afternoon - and (AND!!!!!) there is also going to be another get together including friends in the evening that my uncle is going to be BBQing for which has nothing to do with Peanut - the BBQ is just because we are all going to be together (a rare event).
Would it be so much to ask for my 20-year old cousin just to suck it up for 2 hours and be with family so I can have a party for my first baby that doesn't include people I don't know? I mean, how dare she!!!??!!!!
Ok. Rant over.
(I'm pregnant and hormonal - I'm allowed)
