How many weeks are you? 8w3d
What is your baby the size of? Raspberry
What symptoms are you having? It has been a rough few days. Nausea has really ramped up, which is fitting given history during the last two pregnancies. I have tended to peak around week 9-10 and then taper off.
Do you have any appointments this week? I need to call to schedule something either this week or next. If I remember right this is the one with a crazy amount of blood work :/
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Just excited to still be here....trying to use the PgAL mantra "Today I am pregnant and I love my baby."
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? Oh man, it's been awhile. Age of Adeline i think? It was good, not great.
What is your baby the size of? Two southern pecans or grapes
What symptoms are you having? Surprisingly my bloating is slightly better than it has been for a few weeks, I'll take it! Just some gas and waking in the MOTN.
Do you have any appointments this week? We had our last appt with the RE on Froday, I'm officially graduated!! Baby A was measuring 9 weeks 1 day with 184 heart rate and Baby B was measuring 8 weeks 5 days (true GA on Friday) with 181 heart rate. The RE said they're gonna be bouncing off walls lol. We got to see the nuggets via 3-D ultrasound also, Baby A blocks Baby B so we didn't get the best shot of B but still saw both!! SOOO CUTE!
Rants/Raves/Randoms: I'm finally getting to the point of believing this is real! I'm trying very hard to get my food life in check - the nutritionist really stressed the importance of gaining enough weight with multiples, even early on since their growth slows down sooner than singletons and they are often delivered by 37 weeks. I tended to eat mostly salads, tofu and mixed veggies, things like this - no dairy, grains, etc. so it has been an adjustment trying to hit all the necessary grains/proteins/dairy in a day but I'm making progress, this is probably also the reason I was so bloated. So far I'm +1.5 lbs but she advised to me to gain 20 lbs by week 20 (35 lbs in total).
QOTW: What was the last movie you saw? Would you recommend it? "Noble" - it's based on the true story of an Irish woman who had an extremely difficult life and goes on to build/rebuild community foster homes in Thailand among other places. It was AMAZING!! I found it on Amazon Prime. I would definitely recommend it.

How many weeks are you? 9w4d
What is your baby the size of? tater tot
What symptoms are you having? still really bad nausea and vomiting, not keeping very much down
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope, nothing until my NT scan on 4/29
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I need to tell my parents soon because I'm going to ask my mom to come down and watch the kids so DH can go to my NT scan with me, but I've always found this to be such an awkward conversation to initiate so I'm just putting it off for now.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? I watched Toy Story with the kids a few days ago, and yes, I highly recommend it.
What symptoms are you having? So so tired and just an overall feeling of being unwell. I'm trying not to complain but I have let Netflix parent way more than I'd like to admit.
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Nothing for now.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? Blackfish. It is an older documentary on the killer whales at Sea World. It was so so sad and I'm glad SW is ending their program.
What symptoms are you having? Mild nausea, severe constipation, mild motion sickness, so tired, dandruff (wtf?)
Do you have any appointments this week? First midwife appt next week
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I discovered senna laxatives (Senokot) and lost 2.5 pounds in one day. Sorry for the TMI but I feel so much better! Hopefully I can help somebody with this info. Also, gummy prenatals are amazing. The tablets were causing my nighttime sickness.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? Star Wars New Hope and it's a must watch
What is your baby the size of? I think we get to graduate to a strawberry in the morning
What symptoms are you having? Mainly nausea, exhaustion, and bloating like crazy, especially by the end of the day! Do you have any appointments this week? I am supposed to have my one-hour intake appointment with a nurse on Wednesday morning but I'm going to have to reschedule because of stupid, stinky work
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I think I overdid it a little this weekend. In my head I'm like "oh it's still super-early, I can do all the things" but the reality is that I do get tired more easily than I did before. I'm also finding that it's easy when you're chasing a toddler around all day to forget that you haven't sat down for hours on end. I was definitely feeling it by the end of the day yesterday, and by midday today. It's going to be a nice early night tonight.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? I seriously had to rack my brain for this one and then I remembered that DH and I rented Mockingjay Part II to watch when we were down the Cape a few weeks ago. It's pretty obviously a must-see for anyone who has read the Hunger Games books. If not, you could skip it. It's definitely not an uplifting film in any respect. It also seemed to me that they made the movie assuming that everyone seeing it had read the books, which isn't the case; we had to pause quite a few times so I could explain something to my H (who doesn't read, like, anything).
What is your baby the size of? cherry...turns to strawberry on Tues. (that seems really big!)
What symptoms are you having? wakefulness at night (although the last couple days have been mercifully better) and just a queasy/gross/gripey stomach literally 24/7. Some fatigue, but not debilitating.
Do you have any appointments this week? nope
Rants/Raves/Randoms? DH has been amazing. He has been wonderful about giving me time to rest, helping around the house, and taking on the brunt of parenting. I feel really guilty that I'm not doing more but I know (hope?) my energy levels will improve, my stomach will settle, and I'll feel better/more able in the next few weeks.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? We watched "Brooklyn" on Netflix last night and yes, I definitely recommend it. It was a wonderful story.
What is your baby the size of? Blueberry or a game die
What symptoms are you having? Right now, lots of belching! On and off nausea, cooking aversions (not food just the smell of cooking it!?!), fatigue
Do you have any appointments this week? Yes FINALLY! Intake appointment this Wednesday.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Today and yesterday were a good days but PGal brain has me slightly concerned that this is a bad sign.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice I thought it was ok. It took too long to get to the heart of the story, very slow start. Henry Cavill is such eye candy so I didn't mind. I would recommend it if you are a comic book to movie fan but if you are not, I'd wait for it on redbox.

How many weeks are you? 7 weeks today.
What is your baby the size of? Raspberry
What symptoms are you having? Fatigue, stomach uneasy at times, esp in evening.
Do you have any appointments this week? None this week
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I hung out with my mom this am and it was hard not to say anything. I didn't feel great but survived. Hoping mh agrees to let me tell her after the 8 week appt, I am a horrible liar.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it?
Watched the intern last night and I enjoyed it. It was a typical Nancy Meyers movie, but I haven't seen a decent new chick flick lately. I did find it funny that Anne Hathaway has been in two movies about female bosses and fashion (Devil wears Prada) but in opposite positions.
Not that anyone is keeping track, but just thought I'd make a correction/clarification on the size of my baby this week: s/he is a *wild* strawberry, which is smaller and makes more sense haha
Also I know a few of us have the Ovia app...I'm all excited because as of today my baby's little handprint shows up on there!!!

How many weeks are you? 8 weeks 2 Days
What is your baby the size of? Wild Strawberry
What symptoms are you having? Exhaustion, sore boobs, some food tastes different... The nausea has really quieted down. I felt normal on Saturday! I cleaned the house actually!
Do you have any appointments this week? Yes!!! Finally we have our first appt on tues!
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Excited to be feeling a bit better. Can't wait for the appt to reassure me everything is going on in there.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? I literally cannot think of what movie I last saw... I use to see movies all the time but now not so much.
What symptoms are you having? Extremely tired, still feeling sick daily, not sleeping well, nipple pain (mostly when nursing which is thankfully down to about 3-4x a day instead of 5-6x)
Do you have any appointments this week? No. Next appt is nt scan and blood work on the 22nd.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Why is buying a house so ridiculously hard? DH works about 30 miles away so we are buying our first house to be closer. The process is so frustrating. We like so many houses, but I haven't been in love with anything. Either it's too small, has a tiny yard, isn't in a neighborhood we like, is too expensive, a 2 story, or something else isn't right. Maybe I'm being too restrictive taking out the 2 story houses. I don't know. This on top of parenting a nearly 1.5 year old and renovating the house we are living in now that belongs to my dad. All I want to do is sleep.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? I watched The Holiday the other day. I liked it. I'd say 3 stars. Recommend if you just need an innocuous romantic type movie and like Cameron Diaz.
What symptoms are you having? Exhaustion, nighttime sleeplessness, mild nausea/hunger
Do you have any appointments this week? Not til 12 weeks
Rants/Raves/Randoms? This exhaustion/ insomnia thing isn't funny. And I'm feeling really guilty how much work my H is doing. I'm ready for 2T.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? Spotlight - the one about the Boston Globes uncovering of the catholic priest scandal. Yes, definitely recommend it. It was fascinating and disturbing. They did a good job with it.

htk1113 I also agree the congestion makes me feel more sick. In the morning it's terrible. I had it with L, too. Mine got better or at least stopped making me sick at like 14 weeks then. Hoping for the same or sooner this time.

ClassyMrsA funny about 2 story, I rule out 1 story houses. I think it's a regional thing. House shopping is super intimidating - we are perpetual renters and have been driving around some neighborhoods, but we have expensive taste in a very HCOL area, so can't afford much.

Why do you go for the 2 story houses? Interestingly enough, there are a few 2 story houses that I like enough that I want to see them. It's like, I can't resist a good deal and a pretty house even if i have to deal with stairs. The 1 story houses I prefer, but it is very hard to find them in the size we want. We live in a city that we can't actually afford, but DH works in/near satellite cities that we can afford so that's good. I also have expensive taste so it's challenging to stay in our price range.

I guess because I grew up in two story homes and tend to be the norm in the neighborhood I admire (Mid-Atlantic). I tend to gravitate to craftsman style, colonial, or older brick rowhomes in cities. It feels like the sleeping area is separate from the living area to me. I see the benefit of no stairs for people close to retirement though and I see how stairs are issues with young kids.
tgrimes1980, I think I've got a little of both. Allergies have hit me (probably prego related) then E and I have a cold. Which I've had on and off since conception.

What are the pros for one story?
Basically just the not having to deal with stairs. We worry about having small children and stairs. Plus they are a pain in the butt. I hate vacuuming them, carrying laundry up and down, running up and down if I forget something on another level... I've had stairs since I was 5 and feel very done with them. We are in central Texas so we've got a good mix of one and two story houses here. One story houses cost more, though.

That's the worst. I'm just getting over my cold but my congestion was pretty consistent until I had M. I pretty much relied on the Neti pot twice a day.
Great idea. I feel like that works great immediately after I use the Netipot then I'm stuffy again. Do I need to use it on the reg for better relief?

How many weeks are you? 7 weeks
What is your baby the size of? Brookesia micra chameleon or a blueberry.
What symptoms are you having? Mostly nausea. I've started the gagging and dry heaving, but so far I haven't actually been sick... yet. Still have some light cramping and I'm tired all the time. And my breasts are extremely tender by the end of the day. Oh, and bloating. Good lord, I am so bloated.
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I forgot about the nausea part. I'm happy to not be puking, but I basically feel like I have the world's worst hangover.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? We just watched Guardians of the Galaxy this past weekend. I really enjoyed it. But I'm also a huge fan of Chris Pratt.
ClassyMrsA I hear you on the house-hunting; we bought our first home almost 2 years ago after moving around quite a bit with my H's job. We were living at my parents' while we searched, and we were ready to be in our own place with our own stuff. It was also the end of the buying season here, so pickings were getting slim. Lots of stress.
Practically speaking, I tend to like 1-story houses, as well (based purely on aesthetics, though, I love a classic Federal or Georgian-style 2-story.) Same issue with the stairs...our last house was 2 stories plus a basement (where the laundry room was located) and it drove me nuts going up and down all the time. Here in FL, it's a mix, but new construction tends to be 2 story so they can fit larger houses on postage stamp-sized lots. DNW. The house we purchased last year is 1 story and has a great floorplan and large lot; it needed lots of cosmetic help but it was worth it to get the SF/floorplan/lot size we wanted.
What symptoms are you having? Nausea, and so tired.
Do you have any appointments this week? Nope
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Every time I think moving past the nausea phase I have another bad day. I am grateful for the few days of feeling good in between though. So trying to focus imib the positives.
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? My gosh I honestly can't really remember. How sad is that? I know the last movie in the theater we saw was train wreck. It was ok.

How many weeks are you? 10w
What is your baby the size of? Strawberry or Lego Man What symptoms are you having? Nausea, exhaustion and now I have a cough.
Do you have any appointments this week? I had my first midwife appointment yesterday. It was uneventful.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm sad that they didn't do an ultrasound yesterday. They said I don't get another one until the 20 week scan. That seems like so long!!
QOTW - what was the last movie you saw? Do you recommend it? We watched Man of Steel a couple weeks ago because H hadn't seen it and we were going to see the new movie. I enjoyed it, mostly because of the eye candy.

This was your first OB/midwife appt and they didn't do an ultrasound? Is that normal? I would think they'd want to confirm size etc with it being your first visit. I have my first OB visit tomorrow and was really looking forward to another scan because Baby B is a little behind Baby A and the gestational sac is a few days behind.

It might be because I've gotten so many early scans already from the RE. We also had genetic testing done on the embryos so we know that there's no issue there. I dunno. I'm confused about this whole process.

Ok that makes sense. We've had three scans so far also, but I still am hoping they'll do one at the OB because I have questions that I didn't ask on Friday because it wasn't the RE doing my exam but rather a physicians assistant and she could barely maneuver the machine.
