AW Post: Can I brag about my husband for a moment?

Ladies, I need to take a moment to brag about my husband.

Some of you may remember that He has booked us a baby moon in San Diego for next week.  

Last night we were talking details.  

I am going to leave my office on Monday afternoon and drive straight to his work (He is a restaurant manager) and then we will leave together and drive down to San Diego from there.  I told him I would probably get to his work around 4:30 and that if he wasn't ready yet, it would be fine, I could just chat with the bartender and eat an appetizer or something.  

His reply was "Or, you could stop at the Massage Envy next door and enjoy the massage I set up for you, since I knew I wouldn't be able to leave the restaurant until closer to 5:30/6".  

I am floored.  I usually have to badger this man about not leaving his socks on the rocker in the living room or to put his dirty laundry in the hamper and not on the floor in front of the hamper.  

Who is this man who has set up a vacation and made me a massage appointment to kick things off, and what has he done with my husband?!

Honestly, he's usually not this smooth.  He's only been able to be this smooth about surprises two other times in our entire relationship.  1) when he proposed and 2) when he took me for a walk immediately following our wedding ceremony so we could have some alone time, but told our wedding photographer in advance, so he could hide in some bushes and get a bunch of candid photos.  

ETA: For example, last night he chose to make fun of my swollen feet by poking at them and asking where my ankles went.  Then he started picking up the couch cushions like he was looking for them.  He may or may not have gotten kicked with my big fat swollen feet and ankles.  THAT is the man that I am used to

That's beyond sweet! My husband looked at me the other day after ready his "you're going to be a dad" booklet from my dr and asked "Wait, we have to have a car seat before baby gets here?" I said, yeah, how else would we get the kid home from the hospital. He claims he hadn't thought that far. :/
