Also, not to derail the thread but how have you been doing? I noticed your hiatus and am glad to see that you're back!

I imagine it would depend on how old the individual in question is to determine who would actually be the petitioner. But I know that there are change of status petitions for other relationships, so I thought it would be worth mentioning. We had a different element dealing with immigration through marriage for my H, but I know what an absolute nightmare the whole system is and I try to help where I can.
