That stinks, SheilaTheTank. I hate it when things are outdated and would be especially stabby if I got baby all packed up and out of the house. Have you tried YouTube? I was able to nurse D in the Boba a few weeks ago because of a video I watched. I've only been able to master one side so far but it was somewhat helpful.

That's my next go to. It really helped me get tying it and putting her in right. I'll probably do that sometime this week. In other news, I was able to wear K without her being super fussy for most of Saturday afternoon. I even made dinner and ate most of it before she woke up. It was wonderful!
So I went to my local BWI meeting that was listed on their website. The lady at the front desk of the Y told me she doesn't have anything scheduled for them anytime soon. I cried in the parking lot. I was REALLY, REALLY looking forward to learning how to breastfeed in the boba wrap and figuring out what to do when she outgrows this wrap.
Ugh, that really sucks. Leaving the house with a baby is a lot of work for nothing. Glad you were able to get some stuff done with her wrapped up Saturday though! I wear DS2 probably 8-9 hours/day, I honestly would get nothing done otherwise.
If you're interested in a woven wrap later, Didymos and Storchenweige are a few good brands to look into. And my go-to front carry, Front Wrap Cross Carry (FWCC), is awesome for littles. You can pre-tie it too so it can be half ready when you need it.

I'm looking into a wrapsody breeze because it will be summer soon and I HATE being too hot. I sweat like a beast normally so I want something lightweight. I'd love a Didymos but they are soooo expensive. I do a FWCC with the boba but would also like to do a side carry when I want some help carrying her on my hip.

SheilaTheTank I have a Solly wrap and it's very lightweight. I also sweat like a beast do I'm hoping this works well for summer in SC. I think I would die of heat stroke in a woven.

Where did you get this particular wrap? I tried to tag you in this thread awhile ago because it's soooo pretty. =)

Might be diving in with my Beco Gemini if we go to the aquarium since they have stroller restrictions. Have to get more comfortable though. Seems like the straps are in her face.

The Wrapsody Love in Motion group on FB is great for getting ideas for carries and to see what they actually look like. Also, I see the Breeze for a good price in Nolan...though the print may not really be your thing.

This one is called Kurunpa, by West of 4th Weaving. This weaver was one of the original UppyMama weavers but disagreed with how expensive and difficult to obtain the wraps were (many were going for $1,000+ at the time) so she started her own company of more readily accessible wraps and price ranges. My Kurunpa is a cotton/flax blend, really really thin and floppy so I'm loooving it for newborn wearing!

$1,000 for a pretty piece of fabric?! Talk about privilege.
I can't wait until LO can be worn front facing!! She loves being held like that so she can see!
In other news I ordered a fancy Mei Tai carrier after I spent a month with it (rented from BWI) and really loved it so much better than what I have. It should be here Tuesday!!!

If I tried to put her in that carry arbe, K would have a fit. She needs to be able to see everything.
My aunt made me a ring sling. It is great for when K wants to be held after getting home from daycare. She loves being in a hip carry, but I wish I could use two full hands with it.

This is her happy place for sure, only way I can get to soccer games and watch DD1 do gymnastics. She just loves snuggles and being held.
I don't have a photo but I have been wearing her in the girasol my sol (it's a mei tai style one) I love it! H wears her in the lilliebaby too. I can't wait until she is ready for forward facing, she is gonna love it. The mei tai is amazing for naps when we are out. It doesn't matter how loud or crowded it is a min in that thing and she is asleep. If she isn't tired though she doesn't want to be in it.
I'm looking to sell or trade my ergobaby wrap. I want to get a Sollybaby wrap- or something much much lighter weight. J is a human furnace and the ergobaby wrap is too thick for her. She gets so hot in like 10 seconds.
But otherwise she enjoys being worn. I stuck her in my beco soleil the other day (with a receiving blanket tucked under her bum because she's still tiny) and she was happy.

Ummmm....where did you get the girasol?! Im literally dying for one!!
Also, we use our Moby and Ergo. I really want a woven wrap and we are borrowing a ring sling. W pops his seat in it tho. It makes it very challenging.

I love the Solly wrap!
I really want one, it seems like the lighter fabric will work a lot better for us. I'm just trying to be reasonable about my spending so even though they aren't outrageous, if I can sell my other wrap or trade for it, I would feel better about it.
She's a giant. She was 10lb 9pz at birth. 14 pounds and a little now.
So is E. How tall is she? You arent using an insert or blanket? I suppose I should ask age lol since that affects head control.
I tried without the blanket the other day and thought she was ok but sent a picture to a baby wearing group and they said she looked too small still.
She's 24 inches and has very good head control. She is 12 weeks. Now I'm questioning myself. I don't have an insert. Should I have rolled a towel under her???

So this is the picture I took. They said it is likely too big because it's wrinkly through the panel and her legs looked a little too splayed out I believe. She seemed comfy though so I dunno!

Well, I just sent a friend a pic where you could see C's legs and she said I should have rolled a towel under her so her knees would bend more. Now I feel like a crap mom for wearing her for several hours like that when it may have hurt her knees.

I'm sure she would have been upset if it hurt her.
