Does anyone else have a baby who constantly cries? I get one hour of happiness in the morning until his first nap and then it is crying almost all day. He is on reflux meds and probiotics for colic, but nothing seems to help. I am at a loss of what to do anymore.
Ugh....I am so sorry. I was in your shoes too, but the Zantac we have him on now seems to have really helped. He will still cry pretty badly after each meal....its like he gets a belly ache every time he eats, but for the most part he is pretty content now. He does get bored easily. Anytime he is content he usually only stays that way for 15-20 minutes, then he needs a change of scenery or something else to spark his interest. Sometimes I swear he has ADD.
We are constantly trying to keep him content. I have been putting him in his bouncy seat in the kitchen with me the past few evenings. he likes watching me move around in the kitchen when I am doing dishes and cooking dinner. Another place he likes to hang out is on a mat on the dining room table. We have been changing him here and there is a ceiling fan and light over his head. I cannot leave him there unsupervised in case he rolls over, but he is so content there, I have read to him while he lays there. He likes laying on the bathroom floor for some reason....he plays with the shower curtain while I get his bath ready. Last night I gave him a little bag of popcorn to play with.....like a vending machine sized bag. He crinkled the hell out of that bag for a good 20 minutes, mostly from kicking his legs while it sat on his lap.....but he loved it. Sometimes his swing is the only thing that will keep him content. If you don't already have the white noise app on your phone, get that. Gio LOVES the cat purring one and the train ride one. Sometimes those are the only things that will make him calm down.

You are not alone, hang in there!!!!
What is the name of the app? I have two but not those sounds and lo like variety!
LO is 14 weeks. We primarily breastfeed, but also supplement with soy formula at night because he doesn't get full. I cut dairy out of my diet because he was vomiting dairy formula but that didn't seem to make a difference. I thought about trying the alimentum, but he almost seems happier after I give him formula.

I skipped soy altogether. I went to his Ped and they gave me Nutragamen (sp?) and the Alimentum. I can't remember but I think Amy G from the boards said if they have a milk allergy or intolerance then soy would be no good too. The change in my ds was instant. Not saying that's your issue but it was my last hope at getting his crying solved. We also had gripe water and prune juice because all that switching of formula bothered him.
I also want to try the Magic Merlin sleep wrap and nursing beads but for now ds is doing ok. But maybe that's another option for you if the food change isn't.
White noise app didn't really work for me but others swear by it. Neither does bathing but once I get him rubbed down in lavender baby lotion he goes straight to sleep.
How is your milk letdown? My ds can't stand too much milk in his mouth so he unlatches and cries. I started squeezing a little out before he eats.
I'll try to thank of a few more things we do after I change ds stinky diaper lol. He's sitting next to me grunting now.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this! Pips started teething recently, and my sweet, giggly happy little girl has turned Into a little Crabby Patty on me (and rightfully so). I hope things get better for you!!
Thanks ladies. I have started pumping because I was worried that he wasn't getting full from the breast. He seems a little better now that I am keeping track of how much he is eating. I am going to talk to his pedi about changing his formula. Thanks for the suggestions and hopefully this will pass soon!
