requiressnacks yay for a new kitchen! How happy are you that reno is over. I bet you feel like Martha Stewart in that kitchen! (that's a compliment)
I really am so happy we are back in the kitchen. I love to cook so it was a hard 3 months. Our contractor sort of dropped the ball in the end and there is a lot of detail work left to be done, but I am just trying to be cool and be happy that we are 98% done.
Wow - you guys adult so much better than I do! Normally we just whip something together the night of... ha ha. DH and friends and family are putting a new roof on our garage today, so we grilled out burgers, I made pasta salad, potato salad, chip dip etc so we'll probably just veg out. It's unusually warm here today (probably close to 75-80) so he's going to be beat.

We've got a couple Blue Apron meals to make, not sure which we'll do tonight. The rest of the week we're doing easy stuff...crock pot shredded pork sandwiches, leftover chicken curry, soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.

hmr11913 , we're the same way. I've tried the weekly planning, but we never stick to it. Recently, we've just been stopping at the grocery store on the walk home to get ingredients for that evening's dinner.
Tonight we did take-out because we had been out walking along the river for a few hours and were starving. It was so good and totally worth the walk to the second location when the first didn't have the dish I wanted. Chickpea fritters with hummus, pickled vegetables, cucumber salad, lentils (which the puppy ate), rosemary fries, and brown sugar lemonade.

requiressnacks, enjoy your first meal in the new kitchen!
I'm on spring break this week so we're doing a clean out the pantry/freezer week. Tonight it is some of the frozen seafood items and the last of last summers corn. No idea about any other night yet.
Waiting for dinner to finish up in the oven. I went to the grocery store hungry so dinner is reflecting that. We're having breaded tofu, roasted veggies (squash, zucchini, peppers, carrots, butternut squash), and a pomegranate apple salad with goat cheese.
