Good morning ladies! How are you guys all doing today? Anything fun planned for the weekend?
I'm waiting to leave for my NT scan which is in about an hour. Anxiety is no fun. We are planning to then go get bbq and tonight going to a family friend's house for the first night of Passover.
This weekend is kind of busy. Tonight we're going to go out and look at tile for our bathroom then probably pick up some stuff to finish up the garden and landscaping. Saturday we'll hopefully be finishing the yardwork then we're going out to dinner with the ILs for their 40th anniversary. Sunday we're going to a bowling charity event.
I also need to find time in all of this to tell some of my cousins about the baby. Should be fun!
DH and I are headed up to Charleston this afternoon for a kid-free weekend; my parents are keeping DS (Nana and Papa for the win!) It will be so nice to sleep late, eat leisurely meals, and not have the TV on Disney for a couple days
I really need to get motivated and pack. I want to stop by the mall and look for new pjs, too.
We get the keys to our new apartment this afternoon so the craziness begins tonight. It's on the second floor and smaller than our first floor duplex with a garage and backyard. We find out next week if hubs has lymphoma. His biopsy surgery is on Monday. It's been a crazy month!
Finger crossed that you guys get good news after your H's biopsy pandabrrr.
I had my first appointment yesterday and everything went great! We got to see the baby and he was measuring at exactly 8 weeks (I was 8w2d), which lines up perfectly with the 12/1 EDD that FF gave me based on O. But we're sticking with the 11/29 EDD based off LMP)
We also discussed the option of induction (to be done no earlier than 39 weeks) because of my history of rapid labor (DS was born 6 minutes after arriving at the hospital. The only reason we even made it to the hospital in time was because it was the middle of the night. Otherwise he would have been born on the freeway). I do not want to be induced unless medically necessary, but I also do not want a freeway baby. My doctor put a note in my chart that I have a history of rapid labor and to not send me home early. So hopefully we can just get to the hospital as quickly as possible and assess from there.
jubilantsquirrel Yay for a good appt that's crazy that your son came so quickly, especially considering he was your first. If the option is freeway or induction, I'd definitely take induction, as well.

I know! At each appointment my doctor kept reminding me that it's not uncommon for FTM to go past their due dates or to have long labors, so I had been mentally preparing myself for that scenario.
I hate complaining about a fast labor since I know so many ladies have had long or complicated ones, but really my only goal is to not have to take my pants off in the lobby again.
jubilantsquirrel LOL. It's like something out of a movie, right?! A friend of mine delivered her 2nd in triage...they knew she wasn't going to make it to the maternity ward. I don't even think there was a doctor present, it was just a couple nurses.

LizInFL, yikes! That sounds intense! There was a doctor in the room to deliver DS. I have no idea who she was, I know she wasn't the on call doctor from my practice though. The nurses just grabbed the first doctor they could I think.

@julibantsquirrel we can be the N16 by LMP, but D16 by ovulation. I think I'm actually 12/2 and measuring exactly to that date. Glad you had a great appointment!
pandabrrr good luck with the move and hoping you get good news Monday.

pandabrrr Hope you get good news after yh's biopsy. @jubilantaquirrel Yay for a good appointment! dashook Geez...good luck with the review. That sounds rough.
My appointment was great! Healthy little baby measuring right on time (whatever that means...but right around 12 weeks). Hr was in the 150s, nt was 1.something mm, nasal bone looked good. Baby was jumping all over, then appeared to get snuggly and went to sleep. Should get my blood test results in about 10 days. Overall, great appointment! Heading down south to get some bbq now! I'm so happy and don't feel like puking for once so yay!

So glad you got some awesome news at the NT scan ClassyMrsA. Sounds like baby is perfect!
And good luck dashook that sounds brutal. Props to you big time though for still going to your personal trainer even if you have to miss tonight. I logged my first workout on Tuesday since March 8th...and two minutes in it was oh so obvious.

I'm just chugging along at work. Came home quick to let the fur kids out and to give them some snuggles and treats. I've been gone so much the past three weeks that they've been a bit grumpy with me. One more day of work tomorrow and then so much housework to catch up on. Boo.
ClassyMrsA Yaaaaay for good NT scan!!! Enjoy your BBQ !! jubilantsquirrel I could see why not wanting to have your baby on the freeway would be important ;-) Glad you had a good appt!!
I literally cannot stop eating between the hours of 8a and 2p. I don't know what the heck this is but it's annoying. And then I have no appetite left in the evening.
So next week is infertility awareness week. I'm so mixed feelings on this. I want to post something on social media supporting it, but on the other hand I'll be posting some type of generic pregnancy announcement prob the following week so I'm not sure - I feel like that looks or seems bad. The biggest thing I want people to know is, if they're struggling - don't lose hope - miracles happen. Anyway I probably won't say anything.
This chicken, tomato, and mozzarella panini is the literal best.
I took a half dose of diclegis last night before bed and it knocked me out fast. I think it's making me feel shakey today though on the other hand no nausea yet but I can function like this.
ClassyMrsA yay for a great appointment! Enjoy your BBQ
Just put DS down for a nap. Must. pack. I'm such a procrastinator.
And my dog is driving me nuts; she has to stay inside b/c the guy was just here to spray the lawn, and of course that doesn't sit well with her. Can't wait to drop her off at my parents' with DS.
Happy Friday everyone. Sorry I've been MIA this week. Long story short but E has been sick with an ear infection which led to a fever which led to 4 febrile seizures and an overnight trip to Children's hospital. He's doing better today but I'm spent and am counting down the minutes till bedtime. So happy that we have no weekend plans so that I can bum around the house in sweats all weekend. pandabrrr, FX that mr. pandabrrr's biopsy goes well and that you guys get good news!!

Oh gosh I am sorry. I know pediatric febrile seizures are relatively common but they are still scary as hell. Is this his first time having them? Hugs momma take care.
My child is watching mmch so I can cook in peace otherwise she is a whiny fool tonight and my dog has been banned to the deck because he is obnoxiously whining for dinner... He never gets fed before 6:30. My threshold is quite low these days. My H is picking up his mom as we speak. Is it Tuesday yet? I am tired of having to hide the pregnancy with house guests. This is the last time but I am over it.
aggiebug, yes it was his first time having one. It's just hard knowing you can't do anything for them.
The helplessness is incredibly hard and in my experience it never gets easier to watch) kids, adults pets it doesn't matter) and I imagine the worry of catching a fever before it causes a seizure is also a lot.
