Poor C, @mx2! I hope she just gets better from here.
@mothereffer, I hope both boys start to be on the mend.
The only good thing about today is that it's Friday. I slipped on the train station stairs today because they didn't sand them, and fell on my butt. My poor butt is never going to heal from the fall I took 2 months ago on our house stairs. Or maybe I need to learn how to walk? Today is also work BFF's last day, and I'm bummed. AND I have to work this weekend. But at least I get to go out for mocktails for work BFF tonight?
@mx2 oh, that sounds miserable. Poor C...hopefully she'll start feeling much better this weekend. lfigge Hope you can get in to the doctor and that you'll be feeling better soon!
No big plans here today. DH has to work tomorrow so I'm hoping he'll get home a bit early this afternoon. We have some small projects planned around the house, and Sunday is supposed to be beautiful here so we are going to go out to the zoo with B and my parents.

Hope all the sick LO's and Moms and Dad's are feeling better!
Today had a rough start, our heater wasn't keeping up. We had it set to 68 and it was 63. Sure it was 9 degrees out but it's only 2 years old and should keep up. We have a technician coming out between 12 and 4 today which means I'll have to WFH for the last part of the day. My boss is in our DC office and isn't online yet so I can't run it by him yet. Anywho, we have a 10 year warranty and we're assuming it's something frozen on the outside unit so it shouldn't cost us anything. FX.
Other than that just the usual. This weekend is the Car Show and finishing up painting our bedroom.

Jeeze mx2. Hope that all gets better soon. Poor baby.
Lfigge sorry you're sick
Work all day, then vball tonight. I didn't play well last night so I'm a little bummed, but we were playing on a men's net and it'll be a women's net tonight. My hits were good, just a little low or I had to compensate. Blerg.
Also, does anyone remember Cousin Vicki's uterus chart? I think I need to show that to my SIL. She sent me a pic of her 12 weeks belly and she is gigantic. No health problems, verified one baby. Smallish body type.
tgrimes1980 she's currently running around like a naked hooligan on spring break. She left her socks on though. I think the antibiotics are kicking in and Advil is taking care of the pain. She doesn't have much of an appetite, I assume because swallowing bothers her ears. She slept for 7.5 hours in her crib though. Thanks for asking.
@mothereffer sorry your boys are sick.
@mx2 poor thing. Hopefully today will be better.
I'm feeling like I'm on the mend. B will finally get those new shoes.
Today is day 1 of Operation: Cold-Turkey on Bottles. I've been dragging my feet on this...we'd make progress, then regress, and so on, but this morning I packed them all up and we're going to be done.
Just put B down for his morning nap...he cried for less than 5 minutes and passed out. Success.

@mx2 so sorry to hear it was a rough night. I remember when DS got his out at age 3. Those days were rough BUT he's 6 now and hasn't really been sick since. He got the flu this year but that's really all. Before he had strep 4 times in 3 months. This crappy party will be over soon.
I'm so tired, I can barely keep my lids open. L wouldn't sleep last night. We put him down at 7:30, he woke up at 7:45 screaming, we repeated this four more times. He finally was down by 9:30. Then he woke up at midnight and wouldn't go back down. I brought him to bed with me and slept like crap. Then he decided to wake up at 6:30. Yay.
Not much planned today. It's going to be really nice so we will probably hang out outside.
We still haven't gotten our truck back and they haven't updated us since Monday. The last update was that they got it all fixed, started the truck and it died. So last we heard, they were trying to figure out what went wrong.
H thinks we got a "lemon" and that we should do something about it. I'm just not sure what...
Lastly, I POAS yesterday because I'm almost two weeks late and I've been cramping for days. Negative. I won't lie I was a little sad. Two more months and we will be actively trying. yippie!
CA has a lemon law. I don't know what the criteria is as far as number of times in the shop in a specified period, but I have had a couple friends successfully get out of their new cars that were always in the shop. You should call the dealer and don't mince words. Tell them the amount of problems you're having is excessive and you think the truck is a lemon. Talk to a manager.
Morning ladies. I'm back in the office here in CT and it's nice to be here. I had a long, candid chat with my manager about my impression of the interviews and how I felt I was interviewing for 2 separate jobs, based on who I was speaking with. I told her I'm positive I'm not getting the job but that I'd be happy with a senior position on the team. But I won't be moving to Tempe for it.
C was too preoccupied to cry at daycare drop-off today, which was nice. DH also gave it up last night, so despite the freezing cold (and even more snow on its way), I'm so happy to be home!!

I'm having a "I would rather be at home hanging out with my kid then sitting here at work" kind of day. Unfortunately, I'm still sitting here at work and have several hours to go. My kid is cooler than my coworkers.
We are still doing one bedtime bottle. I'm nervous for our 15 month visit next week because we are supposed to be off of bottles and baby food. We also still offer pouches.
JoeLies it's really tough when hiring managers/interviewers aren't on the same page. My dad is an executive recruiter (owns a firm) and I've heard him give his clients come-to-Jesus talks before when the job candidates were getting mixed messages. So LSS, it's not just your company! I'm sure everything will work out for the best, and if the thing is Tempe isn't the right fit, something better will come along

This is my day everyday... The only good part about work is one of my co-workers.
the other one is an anti-vaxx, chem-trails, the goverment is out to get me conspiracy guy... I want to punch him.
Oh and my boss would give a werewolf a run for his money... hair. everywhere.
tgrimes1980 I'm sorry for your sister...definitely sounds like she's having a rough time. My sister and I are super close...assuming I could afford it and get away, I would go to her in a second if I felt like she needed me. Is there someone you could leave Mara with during the day if you decide she can't make the trip with you?
If for some reason you can't get out to see her, maybe there are some things you could do remotely that would make her life a bit easier? Send gift cards for restaurant take-out/arrange for meals to be delivered (I know there are services that do that type of thing), or a gift certificate for a maid service...just a thought.
