Is pregnancy brain real? I've fucked up like 3x this week due to forgetting important things. Things I would NEVER forget! I think it's pregnancy brain, but don't think my client would agree. ...of course I'm not blaming my mistakes on my pregnant brain to them, but more as a excuse to myself

I feel like it's more because you are just so exhausted and not feeling well that you miss things and make mistakes. Like when I'm super exhausted and tired I do similar things.

Yes and mommy brain was very real for me too. I truly don't remember DD's pregnancy and the first year of her life is hazy. I felt like I was off until she was 2. I couldn't write a decent sentence or plan simple scheduling without triple checking.
Absolutely real haha. H has pointed it out several times to me, I'll be trying to say something and will mix up my words or use the wrong word. Luckily he knows what I'm talking about most of the time! And then there are the moments where I'll be going to go do something around the house or look something up online and will COMPLETELY forget seconds later what I was wanting to do.
It's real. Mine reveals itself when I randomly can't find things, like the remote or my phone. Dh immediately looks in the fridge and most of the time...they are in there. Wtf?

I mixed up words all the time with ds! It was awful!!!

+1. I distinctly remember placing a gift card that I was planning to use this weekend in a place I'd never forget. I was very tired at the time and wanted to ensure it would be in an obvious location. You think I can find it? Hell no. Cue H helping me, the guy who can't find his socks even if they are on his feet, he finds gift card in less than a minute. WTH.

Oh this is real! My short term memory is terrible. I crawled into bed last night and realized I didn't have my phone (it's my alarm in the morning). So I got up and searched the house. It was in the blankets of the bed!
At work I keep forgetting which kids I've sent to the washroom or who I gave permission to get a drink. I'm going to have to start making them sign out!

Yep. Its like my brain knows what it wants me to say, but my mouth cannot get the words out correctly half of the time. Then I am always forgetting stuff. I still laugh about the day we brought DD home from the hospital. We got her in the car, I was in the back seat, my husband was driving, and he was just chattering away. I couldn't even process the things he was saying, and I wasn't even tired....just in this deep fog. Eventually, he asked me if I remembered to grab the paperwork and if I had started to fill it out. In my mind, I knew what paper he was talking about, but I had no idea what I did with it, if I grabbed it, and I *thought* I had started filling it out....but wasn't sure. I asked him again, he repeated himself, and then finally I started laughing and said "I know what paper you are talking about, but I have no idea the words that are coming out of your mouth or if I did anything with them." I also referred to DD a couple of times as " _________ Louise"......ummmmm....Louise was never on the list, and her middle name is Vivian.
With this pregnancy, I am forgetting stuff all.the.time. But I also chalk that up to working long days, now we have DD and her schedule/extracurricular activities, MH's schedule for being home and out of town for work, etc. MH can say things to me, and I will forget a few hours later. Last night, I was trying to tell MH something, and was trying to say "just because she wants something, doesn't mean that she gets it all of the time..." and it took me five tries before he finally stopped me and said "I know what you are trying to say...continue on...."

It's real for me as well. I forget things all the time that I would never forget. Or I will start a sentence to H and then forget what I was saying halfway through. In 1st tri I set a glass on top of my car in the morning and meant to put it in the cup holder but forgot and it shattered all over the road. I no longer use cups that are glass...

This.
Last night DH said to me "I'm just going to finish my coffee then I'm having a bath."
After his coffee he went to go downstairs and I said "I thought you said you were going for a bike?"
I knew he said bath. I meant bath. But bike is what came out of my mouth.
We both just stood there really confused for a moment.
ETA: also - I accidentally locked DH out the other day. He managed to get in and when he came upstairs (I was in bed) he told me I locked him out. My reply? "Oh my gosh! Were you able to get in?"

Yeah.... Lol
I don't know why, but I cannot stop laughing at your reply. Like tears in my eyes....laughing. That is totally something I would say to MH with my pregnancy brain. What did YH say after you asked him if he was able to get in? I can only imagine he stood there looking at you like "WTF? Is she for real?"

He just kind of looked at me in disbelief and said "...uhmmm...yes...."

Omfg I'm literally laughing out loud! My dh was all "Wtf is so funny" I read it out loud and just started dying. I needed a hard laugh today.. thanks
That right there is funny. But yes pregnancy brain and baby brain are so so real. And crazy. I couldn't remember someone's name at work. I've known them for years. So I just stared really hard, before finally admitting that I had no clue who they were.
H has resulted to calling me 10 second Tom (from 50 First Dates). I apparently ask him the same question 5 times over the course of an evening after work and he continues to tell me his response still hasn't changed. LOL.
