Do you have a Nordstrom near you? I'd set up a personal shopping appointment. You don't have to purchase anything but they can give you a really good idea of classic styles that would look good on your new body
Almost all my work outfits are from Nordstrom and they last for years.

stitchfix.com is really fun to try out, but a little on the expensive side! I did it for several months and got stuff I normally wouldn't have picked out on my own but ended up loving.
You make a style profile (which is pretty fun to fill out, in my opinion) and you can set how much you would be willing to spend on certain items (for example being from the great cold north, I said I'd spend big bucks on a winter coat). You can also tell them how often you want certain items ("date night" or fancier clothes you can set to 1 every 3 months or whatever).
Then a stylist hand picks 5 items in your size and they mail it to you. You try it all on and whatever you want to keep you keep and they charge you, otherwise you send whatever you don't want back. There is a $20 styling fee though, if you don't want to keep everything. I think of the 4-5 times I did this I only sent stuff back once. You get a 25% discount if you keep all 5 items and sometimes it's actually cheaper just to keep it all.
I have friends who swear by NY & Company, though I haven't had had as much luck.
I've just realized most of my clothes now come from a mixture of TJMaxx and Stitchfix.
I've thought about Stitchfix. I just have to try on stuff because I'm not the same size in any store, often not even the same store. I feel like I'd constantly be sending stuff back.
It took a box or two for them to get the sizing right, but then it was a lot better. I think you could mention the concern and send them measurements to make sure the sizes are more accurate.

How good is their sizing? That's my biggest concern.
I never had an issue with sizing, but I do have a fairly "average" body type/size in relation to sizing. You can put in specifics - one of mine was "I like to wear pants, not skirts to work. I bend down a lot in my job so I either like higher waisted pants or longer blouses to avoid plumber's crack" and my stylist totally honored that.
I think if you know some kind of item is difficult for you put in a note. They ask for your measurements though, so they should have a clear idea of what each item needs to be.

I was going to second stitch fix.
Also a lot of my friends are really loving LuLaRoe and their stuff is super soft and comfy. I think it could totally be dressy enough for school but casual enough to wear everyday too.
TTC #1 since August 2013 DX: Endo November 2014: Hysteroscopy, D&C June - September 2015: Clomid + Novarel + IUI #1-3 January 2017: Laparoscopy - endo removed
If you have a plato's closet I've had hit and miss visits there. When I hit though - I hit big!!! I got 2 pairs of super cheap brand new shoes for work and 4 long tops for around 100 dollars.

Congrats on the weight loss!
Do you have any decent consignment shops near you? If you need to replace your whole closet, that's a cost-effective way of doing it. You can find some really nice stuff, sometimes new with tags, for way cheaper than even TJ Maxx.
You should check out this website if you think you may need a whole new wardrobe. I have been trying to only get clothes I love that will match just about all my other stuff and it makes getting ready so much easier. As far as where to go I love Macy's and Maurice's.
I just signed up for Stitch Fix this week, so I'm very happy to hear people like it! I get my first shipment in two weeks - hope it's got some good stuff.
Yay, glad to hear more people are trying StitchFix. Their customer service has also been excellent—I've had to change shipments last minute/extend checkouts due to travel and they've been accommodating.
