My ten and a half month old is trying to transition to one nap a day. I am genuinely scared by the thought of all that awake time as I get more and more pregnant.
W, I do not understand people who bring fish as leftovers. Even without MS it smells gross reheated. I mean, a can of tuna is one thing but there's a guy at my school who brings fish sometimes and it is so gross when he nukes it in the microwave.

I just took a shower and all my hair fell out. Dr. Google says it could be thyroid issue or just poor nutrition. I haven't really been eating much since I got sick so I'm going to chalk it up to that (and now I have a yummy spicy almondbutter tofu veggie concoction in my belly) but some of my research said that for some women this happens during pregnancy. My pregnancy with DS my hair NEVER fell out. Has anyone gone through this either now or before?
Also +1 for why do people microwave gross things??? Fish is literally the WORST.
ugh, sorry legalbeagle. Do you have diagnosed thyroid issues? When I was first diagnosed hypothyroid, one of the symptoms was hair loss. I lost a lot of hair and it kept happening until my levels stabilized. If your thyroid is out of whack, pregnancy can make it worse. My RE bumped my thyroid med dose up by 66% after I found out I was KU.

emilie, yeah no known thyroid issues. I'm gonna try and get some good iron in to my body today and see what happens tomorrow AM but may call doc bc of that very thing. Thank you for sharing!
Decided to be healthy today and bring a salad........ someone stole my damn ranch from the fridge. We do have a cafeteria here at work, so I went up there however I think I got fat free ranch (or maybe it's just a weird version of regular ranch) and it ruined my salad..... so now I'm eating pub mix instead. Ugh.
People who microwave fish at work can burn in hell. W
I have a coworker who brings fillets in raw. Probably frozen single serve fillets from Trader Joe's, that he rinses in the sink first to help it finish defrosting and then has to microwave it for who knows how long to cook it. It is the worst!
requiressnacks Tempted to get some maternity pants while I was at Old Navy this weekend but settled for the Target version of the BellyBand. I got it half off because it looked like old packaging and it was missing the size label. I had an employee scan it for me and it was the size I wanted, so win-win!
This pregnancy has been about 1000 times more scary and stressful than the other two combined.
More bleeding today, this time bright red. Another u/s showed the baby looked fine and had a great HR. But I'm not on bed rest until I go 48 hours without bleeding.

Eep, that's scary! I'm glad you had a reassuring ultrasound. Hope the bed rest helps!

mrsp121308, sorry to read this! Glad baby is doing great with good heartbeat but how scary. Fx that you stop bleeding ASAP.
@kc295905, sorry I didn't make it! I'm a terrible cook. I bought the veggie pad thai bowl -- tofu, kale, carrots, quinoa, broccoli, cabbage, edamame all in the spicy sauce. thejuiceshopny.com/menu/ Am thinking I will try and find a sauce recipe because it can't be all that difficult to make so maybe I can convince the husband to do it.

I hate when that happens, good lunches gone bad. Esp because of some sticky fingers!

Big hugs, hope the bleeding stops and you have no more scares!
Welp, my OB appointment was cancelled due to a family emergency. Rescheduled with a different doc on Wednesday, but I'm still bummed. I'm hoping for an early ultrasound to confirm dating but they are in no hurry.
Oh, how disappointing. Fx you get to see your little bean on weds!
mrsp121308, thinking of you. Hope everything continues to be okay.
fikafairy67, any chance his school would help in the potty training process? At my school, we'll let them wear underwear all day and just change them after any accidents. We also will have them sit on the toilet every half hour and provide reminders to check in with their bodies throughout the day. It can be a lot of accidents in the beginning, but eventually, things get better.
There is a girl a work who has been acting like she's pregnant - like over-vocalizing food cravings, complaining about bloat and nausea, and making comments about her students being "obsessed with my belly because there is a baby in there." So, I asked her point blank a week ago if she was pregnant and she evaded the question. Turns out, someone else thought the same thing I did but started telling other people rather than going to her and asking. But, because I asked, I'm getting blamed for telling everyone, and she's angry at me for telling people (again, something I did not do) because she isn't actually pregnant but has a "medical condition which makes my stomach grow larger." I know for a fact that it was someone else doing the telling, and I'm pissed that I am being blamed. Pregnant me has no patience for this petty drama. If you aren't pregnant, you probably shouldn't tell your students that you are and then get pissed when people start to talk.

mrsp121308 I hope everything is OK. Do you have any idea what's causing it?
I had a tiny SCH at my 6 week u/s but on Friday, they couldn't find it anymore, so the I/s tech thought it had gone away. They couldn't find anything today that would explain the bleeding.

Sorry to hear that you're having this worry. There's someone on my other BMB who is also currently pregnant (due in October) who has had several episodes of bright red bleeding. She and baby are both fine, but it is worrying. Praying for the outcome to be just as good for you.

I just sat in traffic for an extra 45 mintues this morning. My 45 minute commute turned into 1.5 hrs. GRRRRR
But I ran into a friend who has 3 kids and she just got a live-in au pair. She told me she only cost $8,000 upfront and $200/week, plus room/board. That sounds so ridiculously reasonable. (Although my house is not large enough for a live-in anything)
