Dh got home at midnight. We stayed up talking, then I got hungry and made us a snack. I think it was almost 3 am when I got back to bed. I stopped at DD for a half caf and out of curiousity I looked up caffeine content. I have to say I'm surprised at how much caffeine it has, even decaf! I thought I was way below the guidelines but not really.
DS slept through the night, only waking up at 10 because my sister called the house phone.
I reamed her out. I was asleep, DH was asleep because he had to be up at the 3 a.m., and DS was asleep. Not only did she wake everyone up, but I had a heart attack because I thought someone was dead. Her reason for calling at 10 p.m.? She wanted to see if I could get their mail while they are out of town. Seriously?!

requiressnacks, mmm a doughnut sounds GREAT... I could definitely eat one (or five.) right now. kaydee0402, OMG, I'd be pissed too! 10pm? Come on, sister! littlelion, I'm glad your H is home! yay!
I really don't feel like working today. (although that's more like every day, not just today.) I'm anxiously waiting for my game of thrones podcasts to drop so I can listen and drown out the dumb people chattering around me.

Pregnancy exhaustion is so weird. Yesterday I was barely tired. Got to bed at a reasonable time and (whisper) L slept through. So of course, today I can barely keep my eyes open, and I just fell asleep for twenty minutes while she was in the Jumperoo. It wasn't long enough. It was all I'm going to get!
And all that doughnut talk is making my mouth water... I can have sweet things occasionally, so long as it's after a meal. So if I really want a doughnut I have to go into town, buy one and save it for meal time. That's not realistic... so I have to not buy it.
My day hasn't even started yet and my students are being annoying. They had to finish something, but not turn it in(this is all on GoogleClassroom) and probably 1/2 of them turned it in. This group I have this year has the hardest time following directions and pregnant me has zero patience for this right now. I can't decide yet how mean I want to be about it. requiressnacks, pass along one of those donuts will you?

I called my doctor's office about the hair loss (better this morning btw so am slightly less freaked out) and all the nurse would say is that sometimes women complain about hair loss during pregnancy and some women complain of hair growth. Who is complaining about hair growth?? (I guess if it grows in weird places..?) My hair with DS pregnancy was so thick and amazing. Also I said I was sick after traveling and immediately she was like "Where did you go?" and I said "New Orleans. It is in my chart." I'm only annoyed because I swear I spoke to the same woman each time and she doesn't seem to review or remember. I am sure I am that patient that is getting eye rolls. But my OB is amazing so I just have to persevere.
Yes to donuts UNLESS they are cake donuts. Cake donuts are the work of the devil.
Mmmmm.... donut, or cronut.... get in my belly! Also, DD goes to a family friends house 2x a week and she's a big time baker/treat maker. Today she gave me this little rice crispie roll treat with chocolate fudge in the middle. SOOOOOOO good.
I'm glad your husband is home littlelion! DH used to work a rotating night shift and the only nice part about him being gone was more room in bed for me. ha!
I always thought we were supposed to have beautiful, lustrous hair during pregnancy, legalbeagle. Sorry you're getting the opposite effect.
Oh no, heaven help me if my hair gets any thicker. I already have a hard time dealing with my crazy mane. If I don't blow-dry and straighten it, I have a puffy tumbleweed that takes 12 hours to fully air dry!

Late to the party, but I'm with the struggle blump today too. I have to present (twice!) at a conference this week and can't find stuff to wear that is comfy yet professional enough.
On a lighter note, the 3 York peppermint patties I had when I woke up made the morning sickness go away super fast!
Not to brag, but hair is glorious while pregnant. Postpartum, not so much. I pull clumps out while washing my hair in the shower
Exactly this. At 6 month PP I had an actual receding hairline. I didn't put my hair in a pony for months.
On another note - I am so freaking bloated I look like I'm showing already. And it's pushing up on my stomach making me feel full, when I'm not. I'm so hungry. I'm forcing it. I told DH this morning to poke my stomach with a needle to let the air out like a balloon - he thinks I'm crazy.
I was asked by a very close coworker today if I'm pregnant because I look like I'm showing a bump. You should have seen the look of horror on her face when I told her I'm only six weeks. Dying
I'm a small person, and with this being my second, the bloating is just ridiculous. I look much further along than I did last time at this point. Last pregnancy I was in my regular clothes until 12 weeks. This time, I feel like I'll be lucky to make it to 8!
I just bought 3 dresses, capris and a top at Macy's. All regular sizes (not maternity). Well, 1 dress is for a wedding in Aug so I went up 1 size. This is my second as well but since I'm a big girl as is, I am not supposed to gain too much and did not with my first. FX the clothes fit me at least thru the summer!
I am so tired. I am about to fall asleep at my desk. Also, no food sounds appetizing. I haven't even eaten lunch and it's almost 3pm here.
This is pretty much where I'm at, too. I skipped lunch because everything sounded gross and only ate dinner because I was starting to get a headache, which is usually a decent sign that my blood sugar is getting low.
Annnnd now it's 8:45 and I'm thinking about going to bed.
