My Monday was okay until I picked F up from daycare and found out she woke up from a 2 hour nap covered from head to toe in diarrhea. She didn't cry or anything so who knows how long she was like that :(Came home, had a bath and tried to get her to eat and drink since she hadn't all day. But all she wanted to do was cuddle me and her kitties
reginaphalange3 we are on the same awesome sleep schedule as you! Leo is back to newborn status. I put him down at 8:00 Tonight and he was up just now screaming. Ughh.
megpie5 oh my. That broke my heart. I hope F feels better soon
sgio7485 I have had to re-sleep train LO after major illnesses. They get in a habit of waking while they are sick and can actually "forget" how to soothe themselves. It's faster than sleep training as a newborn- the principals are hiding in their little brains, they just need reminding. I hope you get sleep soon. That's hell.

You make a great point. We are just coming off of being really sick so maybe he's just off and we need to revisit sleep training. He sleeps with a wubbanub pacifier and somehow can't find it ever anymore in his crib, even when it's in his hand. Like, hello Leo, it's in your hand. Insert, and go back to sleep!
Speaking of sleeping- what are you ladies doing as far as sleep sacks/zip ups vs blankets vs other options these days? LO sleeps in a sleep sack with two lovies but no blankets. I'm wondering when blankets are ok once we outgrow sleepsacks? Maybe I'm just a nervous Nellie?
sgio7485 good luck sleep training Leo once again. I don't how I'd manage if my Leo didn't sttn. It's bad enough wrestling him to sleep at times. I use a regular blanket or his baby blankets when he naps. Doesn't matter since he kicks them off. Just like his dad.
sgio7485 We introduced a blanket a couple of months ago even though F is still in sleep sacks. I was nervous too but watched her on the video monitor for a few nights and she just hugs it so I'm not worried. I think quite a few J15 babies have had blankets (and pillows, which I've been wondering about when to introduce too) for a while. F moves way too much in her sleep to keep a blanket on so I think we'll use sleep sacks for a while.
sgio7485 we started with a blanket at naptime and then once I was comfortable with that we tried out a blanket overnight. It doesn't matter much, he rolls all around and usually the blanket is on the complete opposite of the crib as he is. We still use a sleepsack and probably will until he learns to stay under a blanket. He also has 2 lovies. Sorry to hear about the sleep woes.
sgio7485 we use a pillow (super flat) and toddler-sized blankets. She kicks them off and has also seemed to figure out how to tuck herself back in when she's cold. We live in a warm climate tho, so it's not much of a big deal if she doesn't have the blanket.

She was okay considering her tummy was pretty upset. She kept signing for food so before bed she ate four rice crackers, a banana, applesauce and a bunch of plain pasta. Poor girl was super hungry after a day of not eating, but I was scared to give her anything else in case it would upset her tummy more. No more diarrhea overnight either so I'm taking her to daycare today and hoping for the best cause I really can't miss more work
sgio7485 we have used a blanket for a long time. She tucks it around herself and inevitably kicks it off sometime in the night, but she STTN so it's ok I think. We just make sure her room feels at a cozy temp.

sgio7485 - we're blanket people too. Both my kidlets liked the heavier weight of a stroller blanket, so we were using them early on. Emily loves blankets more than studies and will pull the throw blanket from the rocking chair into her crib often too. We gave her a thin pillow around 1yr also.
sgio7485 LO has a blanket but she takes it off her feet as soon as I put it on. In her crib, she has 2 blankets, her bear, her lamb, and her glow worm. She must have her blankie and bear always for nap/bed time.
