Also, our fridge took a poop last night and I'm still so so angry about it. We've been in our home for 13 months and could have paid off my student loans with all the expenses we shelled out on things 'that worked perfectly fine' when the old homeowner lived here. The fridge is gargantuan. An absolute monster. Cost to replace it with the same brand, but current model? $9,600. For a fridge. And no it will not cook my food for me.
Best part...it was still under warranty two years ago when the appliance company contacted the old homeowner. The motherboard was being recalled so he could either get $500 and void his warranty or get a brand new replacement fridge for free. He took the money. I hate him.
sophiegrace That's a lot of money for a fridge! By the time I'd be done paying for it I wouldn't have any money to buy groceries to put in there. And of course he took the money, probably knew he wasn't staying there for the long run. Jerk. I hope his own fridge loses power this summer and all his frozen foods melt.
I had a hard time getting out of bed too. It was the first time I actually slept through the night since becoming pregnant, I didn't want it to end!! Plus dog cuddles. Yes she sleeps in bed with me. Yes I know how most people think it's gross. No I don't care. She was my best and hug-giest friend at some of my lowest points TTC, she can have all the bed space she wants.
Work should be a little slower today than yesterday hopefully.

I honestly don't know what we're going to do. I cried for two straight hours while H looked with big eyes not knowing what to do. Two separate places offered to finance that amount for us, but to me that's not the point. Paying that much for a fridge is just frivolous and dumb. I remember our fridge breaking when I when in middle school and we literally went without cold foods for weeks while my mom scraped money together for enough to buy the cheapest model available. Although I am willing to spend a good deal of money to have the old fridge delivered onto the new porch of the old homeowner. I won't actually do it, but the thought makes me feel better.
My two littles sleep in bed with me too. The big fur kids aren't allowed into the bedroom, but if the weenies want my pillow I gladly give it to them. I would probably do anything for them.
Oh sophiegrace that is terrible. Is it built-in? Can you get something that will fit size wise but isn't as crazy expensive? Sounds like the previous owner of your home was a lot like ours. Grrr.
Morning everybody. About to take DS to preschool; he was in a feisty mood yesterday and I am not sorry to ship him off for a few hours I also have signed him up for 4 weeks of summer "camp" through his preschool/our church.
Otherwise, I'll just be working on a project I'm trying to get out the door. Have a good Tuesday!

How is it only Tuesday?! This week is crawling along. sophiegrace - holy cow that is a shit ton for a refrigerator. Have you checked Craigslist? People will dump decent appliances on there for really cheap.

sophiegrace Holy crap!! That's an expensive fridge. Our new house doesn't come with one so we'll take the one from my dad's house. Boo to the old owner. Wtf?
You don't really get "breaks" when you teach. At least not in elementary school. DH gets a 30min lunch plus one 1.5 hr off period a day. He's a hs teacher. Me...I got my "30" minute lunch (lol cause you have to use that time to drop off kids and pick them up plus pee since when else can you?) and 45 minute planning time which yes was usually a crazed mix of meetings and 80 other things I had to do. BUT no one smokes or disappears or does weird things. You kind of have to be teaching... not that I've never seen teachers on their phones while their kids were working or anything weird like that but it's unusual.

sophiegrace wow I'm so sorry that you're dealing with that extra expense. Screw that old homeowner!
danib so glad to hear that you're finally going home!
I'm working from home today so that means checking emails while I watch TV and clean up around the house. I had an appointment with my midwife this morning and we heard the heartbeat again. The appointment was pretty quick and straightforward. The funny thing is that she mentioned that I shouldn't eat sushi, deli meat, etc (the usual) and that turned into me thinking about sushi all morning. Today also happens to be the day my sushi place has 50% off rolls. Yea I'm eating sushi for lunch right now. At least it's not raw stuff.
AW: We heard the heartbeat today! I didn't know but it's starting to feel real now! Dh cried a little which I made me cry. This is the farthest along we've ever been!!

The ovia app had an article about the dangers of bacon today... Therefore I had a BLT for lunch! Basically it's only dangerous if it's undercooked (like any other meat). I had the craziest pregnancy dream the other night: I was pregnant with sextuplets. I had the babies, 5 boys and 1 girl. One day they all turned into cats! I didn't want 6 cats so I was trying to find homes for them. I would like Freud to analyze that one! Lol
I was a rebel and had bacon this past weekend (homemade and burnt) and sushi last night (sweet potato roll and avocado/cucumber roll soooo kind of a cheat). Friday we are having a retirement lunch for someone here and they got deli sandwiches for lunch so that'll be interesting!
Another here who dreamt she birthed a litter of kittens.
The kicker: in my dream, I was in a former client's home and she had me lay down on her sofa. (Conveniently IRL she was a nurse and her H is an OBGYN!) All I could think of was not ruining the new sofa we had just ordered so I was begging her to get lots of towels.

PNR quick. In between surgeries and trying to shove food in my mouth before falling over. Wish it was queso dip or sushi!!
Thanks for all the hair pats. I'm ridiculously over emotional about this. We're going to look around tonight and figure out our options. The fridge is completely built in and over seven feet tall, but only two feet deep. A rare combo it seems. In our 'plan' we were going tho redo the kitchen in five years and get some awesome appliances. Do we want to save money now and get something non built in, or should we get what we want right now with a warranty and therefore save money down the line when we do the overhaul.
Wait there's nothing wrong with sushi as long as it's not raw, right? I've been having California rolls on the regular.
UO: I don't think there's anything wrong with any sushi if it's from a reputable and busy place. Busy meaning they move through their food quickly and need often and fresh deliveries. I have not always felt this way, but as evidenced by the recent recalls nothing is 100% safe.

To add to that, around five weeks H ordered himself sushi and got me a cucumber avocado roll. We watched them make it and they cut every roll with the same knife. So. Yeah. I haven't had the stomach fit sushi yet, but 100% plan on indulging when I do.

Right starbuck27?!!! I'd actually go back to 16. That was a hell of a good year. Thinking about what I thought were big deals back then just crack me up.

I'm leaving work. Surgeries are over and I am being the biggest waste of space ever. I cannot get my shit together today. There was cake though, so I consider it somewhat of a success.
Hey guys, TMI but I need some advice. I just wiped a little pink mucus. Didn't seem to be bleeding. Otherwise. Do I wait and see if there's more before calling my OB or should I call right now?
ETA: Like as soon as I hit post I just decided to call. She wants to wait and see if it persists overnight and then we'll go from there.
I'm really hopeful it's nothing. Requiressnacks from GKU also had pink mucus (hers was a little earlier in GA) before she went in for her first U/S. Naturally she thought the worst. Later that day she found out that it was twins. Her R/E told her it was likely both of them growing and trying to make room in there. Hopefully that's just the case here.

Thinking about you. Glad you called the OB for some peace of mind. Pregnancy is so much fun. Not a mind fuck at all.
