So I got told at my scan yesterday that I have been booked for a consultation with a doctor and midwife, when I asked why no body seemed to be able to give me an answer just that it wasn't anything routine and it's not normal so they seemed confused to? Should I be worried? I can't get answers? Has anyone else had to be booked in for a consultation? Could it be because I'm 19 and still classed as a teenage mum? Thanks ladies

I don't really have any ideas. We did have a consultation following our scan but it was about insurance and our coverage. It could be simple or it could be sow thing else. Could you call and ask for clarification?

Yeah I rang up as well and still no idea really wasn't helpful, thanks for the response though

I should add, it was required if you couldn't "prove" means to make the payments. So if you had insurance and we're employed, you had the option to fill out some forms and get out of it! However, that was not made clear up front, I had to ask how to get the consult waived.

I'm from England we don't have all the insurance stuff, it's all NhS... Thankyou though that sucks should always be informed up front.
Did something come up at the scan? Where I am, techs cannot give you any feedback during an U/s. If there's an issue of any kind, a doctor needs to review the images and talk to you.
After the scan she said everything seemed perfect, and even my placenta had risen. The report I got after my scan showed nothing wrong either... It's so frustrating
laurawaller hopefully everything is okay. Sometimes consults are for financials like PPs said. Also, it may be just to get a "run down" of what to expect going fwd in the pregnancy. Going over tests and whatnot.
