Group Discussion: Do we want to use trigger warnings?

I know we have a lot of loss moms here and several IF survivors, what does everyone think about the use of trigger warnings on posts that contain sensitive subjects?

I've been using them out of habit but what does everyone else think?

I'm okay with not doing trigger warnings for mentioning living children, but I'm on the fence about talking about loss.

I think trigger warnings for loss is a great idea- j think when we start the pgal thread irish14 we should post lc warnings. Just to protect everyone's hearts.

Or, maybe a house rule if it's anything descriptive or beyond just mentioning that you had a loss? Sort of a "use your judgment" rule if it's anything detailed?

Maybe this is too grey to work. Idk. Interested in other people's takes. There are certainly a lot of us on this board. If anybody at all thinks they need or would like to use them for losses, I am more than happy to always do it - that's a small effort to make people more comfortable here. A month ago I would have skipped all those posts too.
