So we got sent a second play mat as a gift, not the one we registered for. The one we registered for is super colorful and has like a million things on it, this new one is just pink and yellow and softer and has less on it. LO LOVES the new one and will happily play on it for much longer than the one we registered for, so that's our new favorite. I think the other one maybe overwhelming her bc it's so busy...
She also likes "body part songs" like we do head shoulders knees and toes and tap her on the listed part, or nose bops where I just say nose over and over and bop her nose then mine. She also likes when I cover her eyes for a second and the uncover them. Also itsy bitzy spider with tickles. And when you shake rattley toys at her.
Now that he is more aler and awake more hours I find it a bit difficult to entertain him. For the most part we switch from play mat to swing. He likes going for walks in the stroller so we do that at least 2-3 times a week depending on the weather. I found this you tube channel that has baby nursery music and he likes to listen to it and I'll sing along to the music. The YouTube channel is little baby bum if you want to try it out.
W just loves being held and talked to. We talk all day. He loves it when I sing, so sometimes I sing what I'm doing. He is not a huge fan of tummy time in that when he gets done he just rolls over. He likes his play mat, but he knows if he whines I will pick him up. I think we are behind a bit on some fine motor skills, but I have to remind myself that developmentally he is only 6w6d. All in all, as long as he is being talked to, he is happy. He is a very social baby.

I sit her on my knees facing me and sing songs to her and make her arms dance. Sometimes her brother sings with me. She loves it. I try to angle her so she can see books when I'm reading them to DS. She does ok for a few minutes on her play mat and in the mamaroo. She also loves to look at ceiling fans and the fancy mobile above her brother's bed.

I walk him around the house and show him the different rooms, the backyard, etc. He spends a lot of time on his play mat when he's not screaming. Sometimes I just put him on my lap and make faces at him and talk to him. Occasionally he'll be happy in the swing for a few minutes but a good share of the day is spent sleeping, eating, or screaming/fussing.

Swing, play mat, shaking toys at her, talking and making sounds and faces to get smiles, playing music and singing, walks. Honestly, we are in the car a lot driving the boys around so there isn't a whole lot of time for this stuff. We do it when we can.

We: -read stories -play on her jungle mat (it has lots of hanging things, a mirror, and lights and music) -dance and sing Disney songs -lay her on my thighs and chat/sing/dance (we do "running baby" where I gently move her arms like she's running while she holds my thumbs) -play/do tummy time on her softy blanket -walks to meet papa at the train
I also generally just talk her through the day by making everything a song. So I'll sing a song about how we need to change her butt, or how we're going to meet papa at the train, or whatever.
