DH and his friends just loaded up our first batch of stuff for storage. Now the house can be staged and listed. No clue where the hell we're going to live if it sells right away, but here goes nothing.
There's one floating around on FB but I'm too lazy for that, so I just used box pancake mix. I melted brown sugar and butter in the middle of the pan right before dropping batter, and then a pineapple ring in the batter right before flipping the first side over. Crazy easy but delicious, didn't need syrup.

Did you talk with the lady concerning the model houses?

Not yet. They won't sell existing homes to anyone, unless the buyer has a sale contract on their current house. So as soon as we get a contract on our house, we'll see where our build is at, and see if they want to make us a deal on their existing homes.
I've been feeding A in a blwish way since he was a little over 5 months and it has worked great for us.
Well, we had our first choking incident today and it freaked me the f out. A is fine and back to his whiny, whistling self, but I learned that I have absolutely no cool when it comes to my kid.

OMG how scary! I'm sorry that rattled you. You deserve an extra glass of wine to help you relax.
Pretty sure DH is going to kill someone. They got up to the storage place and the unit was still locked. It's Sunday, and no one was there. The main storage company had to send over an on-call manager from another location. DH and his friends were up there waiting around for almost 3 hours. Why can't things just be easy?

London, tell me about A's little travel high chair. I bought a five point harness thing that will strap Cal to any chair but I just realized that since we do BLW that won't work at all for our trip. I'm torn between buying a cheap booster when we get to France, or bringing something like you have. Do you feel like it's safe/sturdy? Did you look at other brands? Do you come across a lot of tables that it won't work with?
charliefox sorry to chime in but thought I would share the high chair we use for travel and restaurants. It clips on to tables (initially worried about safety but he thrashes in it and MH has bared down on it with his body weight) and comes with a plastic tray so might be perfect for BLW. We do a combo and so far it's worked for us.

Chiming in to say that I bought this one and I absolutely love it!

We didn't get to sleep in because baby likes to play at 6:30am, but we did have an awesome day. Got a lot of errands done, did some shopping, took a nap and now I'm at the gym. My MIL is coming over for a bit tonight so DH and I can go to a fancy dinner in peace. Margaritas here I come!

It is incredibly sturdy. I am super impressed with it. We use it daily (we don't have a conventional high chair) and bring it out with us a few times a week. It is easy to install, travels compactly (folds basically flat and comes with a tote). It is easy to toss into the bottom of a stroller to tote around. Much easier than taking a booster around would be, in my opinion.
We have the Guzzie and Gus perch seat. The other two models I compared were the Phil and Ted lobster chair that caitost21 linked, and the Inglesina that emejay linked. I had friends with the Phil and Ted chair and they also liked it. The main reason I didn't get it is that the clamps have a narrower opening and thus won't fit on some tables with a wider lip. The Guzzie and Gus and the Inglesina have wider openings and therefore fit on more tables. I have only encountered one or two tables ours hasn't fit on, such as my in laws very ornate dining table.
I'm a big advocate of these seats and they are good to 35 lbs so you can get a lot of use out of them.
Edit to add that for BLW I like using the silicone place mat that goes under the arms. It is by the same company, dead easy to clean, generally awesome.
Double edit. My DH wants me to add that the chair is so secure that there is no risk of it falling off, but on some dinkier cafe tables we have been more worried about the weight of her tipping the whole table over. Therefore, we try to put her in the middle of the table when possible, rather than the head.

The Inglesina doesn't come with a tote so +1 for London's; )

Yours has the tote built into it!!! Have you not used that feature? I thought that was amazing.
emejay I am lol-ing so hard. The built in carry case was one of the big selling features of that seat for me (it's basically the only difference from the Guzzie). But they didn't sell Inglesinas in Shittyborough and Amazon was no dice.

You see how much I shopped around for it )
I love research. I am so deep in convertible car seats right now. Ask me absolutely anything about which car seats allow for ERF, are good for tall kids, and don't eat up driver leg room.

We went into Babies R us and bought the convertible car seat on sale.

Well date night was great we went to a restaurant about 10 minutes from our house. We were going to go some place farther, but we didn't get out of the house till 8:45pm. So I really didn't feel like driving to far at that point. We had oysters, shrimp cocktail to start. I got this strawberry & thyme infused martini that also had champagne in it. I got the special that was Mahi Mahi with some sort of lime sauce over couscous & kale, OMG it was soooo good!!! H got filet mignon it was cooked perfectly. We got home and stayed up having a few drinks and talking all in all a good night.
Today we attempted to take the kids to touch a truck. After we paid to get in DS lost his shit and flipped out crying saying he was scared?!?! So we brought him back to our car and he calmed down. So weird he loved it before & he loves trucks. We got home and I got to go food shopping alone. It was so nice. I just finished making pizza for dinner one pepperoni & the other a taco pizza. I can't wait for the kids to go to bed and watch GoT!
