What would you guys think about having a healthy pregnancy check-in? I bought a book about "fit pregnancy" that was really inspiring to me -- the basic premise is that yeah some days you'll be too sick to move much, other days you might eat more pizza and ice cream than you would have liked, but every day or choice is a new opportunity to make a healthy/fit choice. I for sure know that my exercise regime is going to be different than my pre-pregnancy exercise regime, but I think something is better than nothing so this morning I got up and walked for 45 mins on the treadmill. I had a really sedentary first pregnancy and I'd like to have a bit more energy this time.
Anyway, all that said I thought it might be nice to have a once a week check-in (and it would be a good way for me to contribute more to the board!) for ladies who are interested in encouragement and support (no shaming or could've/should've/would've) in having a healthy pregnancy, which would really be good food choices and fitness/movement. But I also know that people have different backgrounds in eating/exercise disorders or other body issues so I wanted to see if there is interest and it wouldn't be too triggering for people. Also happy to have someone who is more knowledgeable run the check-in -- I'm just an amateur enthusiast! I thought the basic format would be something like:
- How did you have a healthy pregnancy last week?
- How will you move your body this week?
- Recipe share
- GTKY/fitness tip
What do you guys think?
