Good morning ladies...
Although we are a smaller group it seems as though we have an unfair amount of us who have not has an easy journey. This weekly thread is to get out your thoughts and release your fears in a safe area. Trigger warnings are not necessary.
*********************************
If you are new to this thread and feel comfortable sharing, please include a brief history that the group can reference as we get to know each other.
Please tag me if you want to be added to the check in.
How far along are you?
How are you doing physically?
Mentally?
Any appointments this week?
Any questions, comments, or topics you would like to discuss this week?
QOTW: what's your favorite dessert? Is there someone special who knows how to make it better than everyone else?
How are you doing physically? Feeling really well minus constipation.
Mentally? Ehhh. I feel some nerves creeping in, I happened upon a blog about preterm twins (born 20 weeks) that did not survive and found out that preterm delivery is an increased concern with twins. I have my first cervical length check June 9th, and I am doing my best to keep calm and know that all will be ok.
Any appointments this week? No
Any questions, comments, or topics you'd like to discuss? We found out both babies have anterior placentas, and that means what to me?! The OB assured me it means nothing right now, but I'd love to know why it even matters.
QOTW: What's your favorite dessert? Is there someone special who makes it better than everyone else? . Dessert is my favorite so I have lots of picks but I'll narrow it down to: (1) Bread Pudding from Muriel's in New Orleans, (2) Banana cream pie from Michelle's in Norwalk, CT and (3) Nutella crepes with vanilla ice cream from Volta in Stamford, CT. And my moms cheesecake!!!

Checking in here this week cause anxiety.
How far along are you? 15w 5d
How are you doing physically? Nausea in the am, constipation (which is improving slowly), headaches, fatigue, cravings
Mentally? Lots of anxiety. I've felt movement so I'm guessing things are good, but I'm getting worried about IC. I was with L, too. And of course since I've had a baby my cervix will never feel closed, even though it is. I know it's relatively rare and not at any increased risk. But knowing it exists scares me.
Any appointments this week? Monday I have a routine appointment
Any questions, comments, or topics you'd like to discuss? I hate that I've had an uncomplicated, easy pregnancy before and I still have so much anxiety this time. I had so much anxiety with L and I regret that I didn't let myself enjoy it. I wanted to be able to be relaxed and enjoy it this time, but I still can't. It's upsetting.
QOTW: What's your favorite dessert? Is there someone special who makes it better than everyone else? I am a fan of brownies and brownie sundaes. I think I make pretty awesome brownies. But, the restaurant chain Fado has a Guiness brownie Sunday which is amazingly good.

kleigh I had an anterior placenta with L. It wasn't a big deal and honestly no one told me. I only knew because I switched drs since we moved from CO back to tx when I was 23 weeks and I read through my entire medical record.

Hugs ClassyMrsA. When's your anatomy scan? I know they checked mine via ultrasound at that point, maybe you can sneakily ask your tech what they look for when they measure it so that they tell you?

It won't be for another month. I know they'll check it then and if I go to the mfm my ob works with for the AS they were awesome when I asked questions last time I was there. My ob is pretty good about listening to my concerns and anxiety so I'll talk to her about it on Monday. It's just getting through the next 5.5 days until then.

How far along are you? 15 weeks
How are you doing physically? My body is hating me. I'm tired, sore, my stomach is rebelling against me. And my skin!! Omg my poor poor skin.
Mentally? I'm not even living day to day. It's really moment to moment trying to keep my shit together. I still can't be excited and so want to be.
Any appointments this week? OB and MFM next week for 16 wk check up and then early anatomy scan. FX for some beautiful kidneys.
Q, C, T? I did and then forgot....
QOTW: normal desserts I'm going to have to +1 the creme brûlée. But all time favorite? My Nana's kiffels. It's a cookies with a sugary nut filling. I just got a copy of the recipe so I'm going to attempt to make them before my trip up there at the end of the week. She hasn't been able to make them in years and I would like to surprise her with them.

QOTW: what's your favorite dessert? Is there someone special who knows how to make it better than everyone else? What dessert isn't my favorite? I make a mean chocolate PB Rice Krispie treat. I love ice cream and the place down the street from me is perfection. I also love a good brownie sundae. In case you couldn't guess, I'm not picky.

How far along are you? 13 weeks 6 days
How are you doing physically? Nauseous at night only, bloated, headaches have started up. Otherwise pretty good.
Mentally? Kind of a mess. On my way to meet my therapist right now to discuss some techniques to manage anxiety over the next 2 weeks before my loss milestone. Not sleeping well and appetite is down. I just want to get to that 16 week mark. Hoping for an ultrasound early next week to ease my mind some but we'll see.
Any appointments this week? Tomorrow, routine every 4 week appointment.
QOTW: what's your favorite dessert? Is there someone special who knows how to make it better than everyone else? Im not a cake person but anything pastry related (donuts, croissants, strudels) I am ALL about.

Thinking of you hard @shedreamsincolors. I know I'll be sneaking a Doppler out of work the night before my 16 week appt. I hope you and therapist figured out some useful techniques. I'm so glad you have someone like that to go to right now.
