DS for the past few days has been biting me with his gums while nursing. I try unlatching him as soon as he does it but he will keep doing it until I just end the nursing session. I find myself feeling really tense waiting to be bitten. Any suggestions?

I find DS starts to do it when he's done eating so if he does it I tell him "no" then just stop nursing. It took him a couple times but hasn't done it for at least a month.

My pediatrician recommended unlatching and tapping LOs mouth and saying no. That way they make the correlation. So far this has only kinda worked for us
My LO has done the same thing a few times. The first time she did it I yelled "ow!" and it scared both of us. It was a while before she did it again. I've tried offering a cold teething ring when she does it- that seems to be the best solution I've found.
These are good suggestions. I've had the same thing but LO doesn't seem to get it when I unlatch her. She fails to see the connection. I'll try the teething ring.
I scream, "Ow!", put my breast back in my bra, and with a hurt face say , "That hurts." The shock and emotion seem to get his attention. He doesn't try it twice in a sitting anymore and the biting happens only on bad teething days. I have been able to prob less because if I don't pay attention to nursing on those days, the chomping is much worse.
Most of the time I don't have a cold teether around because I'm at work. (Oh, yet another reason I wish I could SAH) but that's a great idea. It's all about distraction.
