Yesterday, I threw one of the new used diapers I got off eBay on K to see how they would fit. I could have sworn that I had washed and prepped the batch. Well, I guess I didn't because when I went to change her her little bum was bright red and she had hives all over her lady bits. I smelled the other diapers in the batch and they smelled flowery. Cue me frantically washing all of her OS diapers.
I also convinced myself that the Tide free and gentle powder was not sold at our local store so I've been buying it off Amazon, but its not prime so it takes forever and I was down to the last scoop. Went to WalMart today and they have it for $10 less. *face palm*

Where do I begin?
It was super chilly Saturday when we went to my nephew's baseball game. I forgot hats and jackets for the kids, but was able to remember to grab mine. Now they both have the sniffles.
Didn't get a party planned for my three year old's birthday. We have to do multiple little celebrations with both sides of the family due to all sorts of circumstances and scheduling conflicts. I feel awful, but she won't remember, right?

Grab a small cake, slap a party hat on her and take some pics. That way when she is twelve and asks about it, you have photographic evidence that she had a "party".

I always forget LO's hat. It hasn't been cold (southern cal weather) but of course on Sat evening we were outside and it was cold and windy.
It sometimes (pretty often) takes me 3-4 tries to get the right name for the kid I mean. I only have 3 kids, the other name I use is our cat (who I also call DD2's name fairly often). He's a boy and doesn't have a people name.
I do this too. Except I have DH, the male dog (named Dexter), DS1, and DS2. So 4 boys to mess it up with.
I have sometimes accidentally said "sweet boy" to Kira or something along those lines. I'm just too used to boy babies.

Multiple times I have almost called little bud by my sister's cat's name [whom I haven't met yet], so...
At the hospital one time I accused MH of throwing out Bud's dirty diaper before the nurses could weigh it. But he didn't throw it out (or touch it, so he said), and it wasn't in the trash, so where was it?
Whatever, disappearing diaper.
Then I found it when I went to change him again--wedged against his little behind.
Oops.
Actually, now that I think of it, when he was in the NICU one time I found the nurse call button in his diaper upon changing, too. YES, I had done the previous change. FTR, that thing is not little.
Moral of the story: don't be hard on yourself, SheilaTheTank.

I have a facial booked today. MH was going to drop me off and then take K to the ILs to wash his car and visit. We had extra time so we took K to the ILs first. I was in charge of putting the diaper bag in the car. I forgot it. I think I left it in the driveway of our house. So MH had to drive me to my appointment and is now on his way to get it. So here I am about to be pampered while MH drives like a bat out of hell to get the diaper bag and my kid is at the ILs with nothing more than a paci and a blanket.
