Wednesday's Child is Full of RANDOMS

My kid took 25 minutes to eat a damn mini bagel this morning. Therefor, I got to work 20 minutes later than I wanted to...

I'm waffling back and forth between keeping mum on the pregnancy until after we go for our initial appt at 8 weeks, and shouting it form the rooftops. We considered telling my husband's family last night at dinner, but then just didn't. It's for the better though, because my MIL's boyfriend (partner? what do you call a middle aged woman's significant other?) would obnoxiously post stuff on Facebook and I just can't even with that.

Just got back from getting my blood drawn. Waiting for the call with our betas from today. This is seriously the worst part

this was me yesterday!!! SO the worst. Plus my practice sends it out so it's always the next day.

Well now I feel lucky that my OB orders them as stat draws, so I am guaranteed the results by noon as long as I'm in by 9. 

Monday (and toady) I was in by 8, and had results by 10

meeggaannww, LT in support for you, too. Also, don't beat yourself up if you don't do anything today. I have been trying to be less hard on myself about this as well. My lack of motivation frustrates and angers me. I get home and want to do nothing but lie on the floor while DS rolls his toy cars on my body. I keep having to tell myself that I feel this way because I am pregnant not because I am some lazy asshole who just wants to eat crunchy things and sleep (which is all I want to do).

could not get out of bed this morning, finally did and then had to eat all the things. am eating cold pizza, which was supposed to be lunch, at my desk right now. I know I should be thankful, but I'm big to begin with, and I was hoping the morning sickness would stop me from getting huge at least in the first trimester.

Oooohhhh my sympathies to everyone experiencing sickness. I had it so bad with #1. I'm praying I manage to avoid it this go around. Lots of calm, soothing thoughts to you!

A 14 year old child just asked me how to use a phone. Like, a landline phone. She had to call her dad so I told her to use my classroom phone. She picks it up and says "where is the green 'call' button?" I thought she was joking. She was not. And then she didnt know how to "stop" the call. I said, "just hang up!". She was very confused.

I feel so so so old.

This reminds me of my friend trying to figure out the rotary dial phone we had in our laundry room of my childhood home. She kept trying to press the space in the holes and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't dial. 


Just got my betas back. 288. Doubling time of 47.5 hours. I should feel more relieved than I do right now. Bless them for scheduling me again on Friday to keep me calm

On my way to the closest city (3hrs away) for my ds1's peds apt. We are checking him over for autism spectrum disorders. He has a lot of signs and symptoms, so we'll see.

ashtog,8th grade. I would probably blame my DS and tell them he infected me with daycare germs. I am sure they wouldnt believe me and would spread rumors, damn middle schoolers.

Thanks. It's hard, he's 11. He had a lot of what I know now we're warning signs when he was a baby and no one took me seriously (I was 20, how could I possibly know anything?!)and now it's harder to diagnose anything. But he has huge social issues and isn't doing as well in school. Some obsessive behaviours.

Lol, I'm sure when I was in 8th grade I would have outted my teacher so fx you don't get sick at your desk!

ashtog,it makes me angry that no one took you seriously back then. He is still young though and you are doing the best for him, even if it feels like it's "too late". I really hope you get the intervention and support he needs and deserves. You are a kick ass mom!

Aw shucks *blushes*

Seriously though, the *free healthcare* we have here in Canada is laughable. I wish I had the option of switching Drs if I'm unimpressed, or demanding further tests, etc. The program I want him referred into has an over 15month waiting list, and that's just to have him fully assessed.

I think DD has pink eye again.

Its getting cold and rainy again. DD and I went to two parks and for a long walk this afternoon... I was dreading making dinner when we got home. I was so happy to see that H had already prepared dinner. I totally wasn't expecting it, the recipe we choose was in English usually meaning I'd make it but he tried his best with an English recipe!

I had that this weekend and it wasn't fun. I did some grocery shopping yesterday and hopefully what I bought and what looked good yesterday will stay that way.
