How is it that on Saturdays I can wake up so early but on the weekdays when I work, I can't wake up before 7.
I've been up since 4am when I had to get up to pee. Then I decided I was hungry but didn't want to get out of bed. So I just laid there til DH got up for work twenty minutes ago. Guess I'll take a nap later.
@kendra1992 I hope your grandmother recovers quickly.
I slept 3 hours. We had our ARD meeting and found out DS will be starting half day PK on the 17th. That was the maximum he could have qualified for, so I'm thrilled. The meeting was overwhelming, and I'm stressed about snack time. Luckily there is already a kid with a peanut allergy in the classroom.
And screw his crappy ECI speech therapist who told me this week she thought he would only qualify for 30 min of ST a week because he "only has problems with his articulation. JFC. She has one job and she completely fails at it.

@kendra1992 I've been following your info about your Grandma. Just remember it is a step forward!! I know a lot of my patients are frustrated with going to rehab, but I always try to give encouragement. I hope she does well!!!!
ajm0711 I had to be up early yesterday... Like 6a for work. Woke up today bright eyed and bushy tailed at 730. I know it's not the same time, but if I had somewhere to be I would be dead tired.
Oooh, @texasmama15, is your DH doing one of the rock n' roll races? They can be so much fun-I've done the Providence, RI and the D.C. ones.
@kendra1992, that is very encouraging news for your Grandma. She sounds like one tough cookie, and will be home hopefully before you know it. A patient of mine once told me, in rehab every inch of progress is like a mile and she had to keep reminding herself of that to keep her spirits up. I even started using that for myself because I found it to be true. I hope you got waffles.....that sounds so good!
My random, I'm in the boat with everyone who is wide awake on the day when I don't have anywhere to be. Yesterday was so tough getting going when I had to go to work. Whomp whomp whomp.
Starbuck128, congrats on PK news but that stinks about the speech therapist. I hope that she gets proved wrong. I don't know what my problems were but I had speech prior to school through first grade only.
@gfj48, that's good to hear. I hope things keep getting better for you!
lolo918 Thank you. The school's assessment of him was very accurate I think, and his articulation problems were minor compared to the fact that he's almost 3 and barely talking.
Another gem from his speech therapist this week: " *frustrated sigh* Why doesn't he talk?" And it wasn't rhetorical. She really wanted me to tell her, like she forgot that that was the reason why he was seeing her, so she could help him talk more. His session this week consisted of her dumping a puzzle out for him and watching him play. Geez, I'm glad we won't see her anymore.

I CANNOT do more snow. I just cant. I threw a completely childish fit this morning watching the news. We don't even have any place to put it. The snow piles along my driveway are above my car on both sides. My DH went away this weekend with his friends and I already had to shovel (about 2 inches) the first morning he left. He doesn't come home for 2 days and we are expecting snow today-Tuesday anywhere from 14-20 inches. His dad offered for me to stay at his house which is 25 minutes closer to work (my commute is 45 minutes with no snow), but I just want to come and sleep in my own bed. I have worked every single snow storm the last month and I am tired of leaving 2 hours before my shift and getting home 2 hours after. Those 12 hour nights feel twice as long. Not to mention there is no way I could shovel that amount of snow at this point. I struggled with the 2 inches. Clearly I am throwing myself a pity party.

My random, Came up North again this weekend , that's why I wasn't around much yesturday, its beautiful here with the snow & mountains! Here this time with my family and moms friends and their families They are going snowboarding and tubing today, Britney is going nowhere and I love it!!
@kendra1992 ...prayers for your grandmother! I made waffles this morning...yum! Starbuck128 ...wonderful news about the PK! @texasmama15 ...cute sign! I know your DH will love it! @gfj48 ...glad you are feeling better!
I, too, am in the insomnia boat. Today I plan on doing nothing but letting DD have fun. Next on the list...finger paints in the driveway. It is a messy messy thing...but I can sit and sip coffee unadulterated for at least an hour.
I have to spend all day with MIL. I want to throw up at the thought of it
ETA: we have to unpack and organize her summer home that was just remodeled after a pipe burst last winter (the whole house was a disaster). Exactly what I want to be doing today-unpacking and organizing someone else's stuff with MIL and a toddler while pregnant. Oh and she is completely psycho and OCD. So anything I put away she will most likely move any way. Ugh I hate her. Ok bitchfest over
I have so much to get done today and no will power to do any of it so I'm still laying in bed with my laptop and a cup of coffee. It doesn't help that I have little miss priss being just as lazy as I am.
I just got back from this HUGE local baby consignment sale. Brought my mom and MIL so we racked up on clothes of all sizes. My mom got a rock n play sleeper for $30 and I got some nice Gap and Motherhood maternity clothes. Pretty successful. We will be more prepared for the Fall one in August. People were bringing laundry baskets to load up. It was definitely an experience.

I love consignment shopping, it's just awesome when they have a sale. Once Upon A Child had a clearance sale and all the clearance items were a dollar, I went to town!
They got really bad really fast. I don't even want to walk around the house right now because it feels like there is a burning ping pong ball down there.
What do you do for them?
stuck: I've heard people use tucks and it helps soothe. I'm so sorry your going through this it must be very painful.

I've been wanting to go to one of these. We have a local one next Friday and I'm thinking about dragging my boyfriend down there. Sounds like you had a great shopping trip!

Awww I wish mine would snuggle!!!
She is snoring so loud right now. Cracks me up! I love animal snores.

I had to get prescription cream for mine. I tried prep h (used the internal and external) and tucks At first. Baths made mine worse. Use tucks to wipe every time you have BM. I didn't have sex for a while to avoid possible pressure. Spent a lot of time laying down. Sorry if anyone else mentioned all this, post and run !
