I had an awful night. I just could not fall asleep which worked out well because DS woke up every hour from 9-12. I finally passed out around 12:30. I was really hoping to sleep in but MH stumbled home at four in the fucking morning. He had a planned man date with old friends so I was expecting shenanigans but.... I also want to sleep. Not going to lie about being a little bitter. No plans today aside from a butt load of laundry. Currently watching Paw Patrol and drinking coffee.
I'm super excited about today- (feel free to make fun) we're going to a Raffi concert!
I have a little sister who's 7 years younger and it's all we listened to in the car for YEARS, and I grew to love it. I actually told my husband that I'm excited we have a baby, because I'd want to go with or without a child, and that would just be creepy.
We've also going to stop by a town fair / petting zoo pre-concert, so lots of adorable baby cuteness today!

That sounds like so much fun! I sing "baby beluga" to DS every night. I've been singing it to him since he was born.
Morning ladies. Rough night for me. My bleeding has increased to that of a heavy period. Needless to say, I have little hope this will work out now. Sorry to Debbie downer the thread.
Anyway, DDs first birthday party is today so I'm hoping to distract myself. I can't wait to see her in her bid bday outfit!

MH is still in bed. We just checked on him and he claims he is "sick". By sick, you mean hungover, right? No matter, DS and I have alternated between TV watching and cleaning. Two bathrooms and living room done. I hope DS never grows out of this cleaning/ helping phase. Although we have been playing and cleaning, I still feel guilty for having had the tv on all morning...

That sounds like a lovely morning! Kick the guilt square in the ass! You are in first tri with a toddler- you take whatever distractions you can get and it's not like you just plopped him in front of the tv, you are cleaning/playing with him too.
Mh got up with kids and let me sleep and extra hour because I was so exhausted from the wedding yesterday. I woke up to the smell of bacon, eggs and pancakes. (Someone may be earning himself a mouth hug later--- unless he does something to piss me off, which isn't hard these days.)
Now getting ready to go see his grandma in the hospital, she was recently diagnosed with dementia and won't be leaving the hospital they say.

Today's my first day feeling sick... super nauseated and dizzy. I hope it passes quickly.
H, LO and I went out to eat with my p's this morning. then, we went for a walk and played in the park. H is going to work out but LO and I are just chilling on the couch. heybulldog56, I haven't mastered getting LO to help with cleaning yet. Any tips?
If I feel better, we may head out to the chocolate festival a few towns over after LOs nap. Mmmmm chocolate!

Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry this is happening, and on such a big day. Stay strong, mama.

flcl, It totally just happened out of the blue a few months ago. He just follows me around and always wants to "help". I totally take advantage and have him "help" throw out trash, feed the dog, put dirty clothes in the hamper, load the washing machine (clothes only, no detergent)... I can loan out him to you

I just woke from a nap, we cleaned a lot around the house earlier. The plan is to be lazy the rest of the day, take out for dinner and game of thrones tonight.
Hang in there summerrain, we are all thinking about you!
We went to church this morning then I did some weed eating/trimming and helped DH pull up a paver patio sidewalk. I used a hoe to pull up the bricks and he did the bending and lifting and moving. We are having a concrete sidewalk poured later this week and I'm super excited about it. The previous owners ripped out concrete to put in the pavers but didn't do a good job of it. The pavers are sinking in places, the pavers are ugly and the sidewalk is narrow and too close to the house. We are putting in a wider (4-4 1/2 feet wide) slightly curved walkway that will meet up with the driveway further away from the house. This should make the house feel more welcoming and add some much needed softness to the front.

Oh!! I was imagining him dusting and mopping for some reason. LO likes those tasks too. When yours learns how to dust, send him over... That's the worst part!
